And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
46:22:2ʾajiʾtanā"Have you come to us

46:33:3ʾannᵃthat

۝٣٤
And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve."
46:35:1faᵢṣbirSo be patient,

It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. 47:1:1ₐllaðīnᵃThose who

47:2:16sayyiʾātihimtheir misdeeds,
47:2:17waʾaṣlaḥᵃand improve
47:2:18bālahumtheir condition.
۝٢
And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.
47:3:1ðālikᵃThat
47:3:2biʾannᵃ(is) because
47:3:3ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:3:4kafarūdisbelieve
47:3:6ₐlbāṭilᵃfalsehood
47:3:7waʾannᵃand that
47:3:8ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:3:11ₐlḥaqqᵃ(the) truth
47:3:13rrabbihimtheir Lord.
47:3:15yaḍribᵘAllah presents
47:3:17lilnnāsⁱto the people
47:3:18ʾamθālahumtheir similitudes.
۝٣
That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons.
47:4:1faʾiðāSo when
47:4:2laqītumᵘyou meet
47:4:3ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:4:4kafarūdisbelieve,
47:4:5faḍarbᵃthen strike
47:4:6ₐlrriqābⁱthe necks
47:4:9ʾaθḫantumūhumyou have subdued them,
47:4:10fašuddūthen bind firmly
47:4:11ₐlwaθāqᵃthe bond,
47:4:12faʾimmāthen either

47:4:21ðālikᵃThat.
47:4:23yašāʾᵘAllah had willed
47:4:25laᵢntaṣarᵃsurely, He could have taken retribution

47:4:31waₐllaðīnᵃAnd those who
47:4:32qutilūare killed
47:4:34sabīlⁱ(the) way of Allah,
47:4:36falanthen never
47:4:37yuḍillᵃHe will cause to be lost
47:4:38ʾaʕmālahumtheir deeds.
۝٤
So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds.
47:5:1sayahdīhimHe will guide them
47:5:2wayuṣliḥᵘand improve
47:5:3bālahumtheir condition,
۝٥
He will guide them and amend their condition
47:6:1wayudḫiluhumᵘAnd admit them
47:6:2ₐljannaẗᵃ(to) Paradise,
47:6:3ʕarrafahāHe has made it known
47:6:4lahumto them.
۝٦
And admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them.
47:7:1yāʾayyuhāO you who believe!
47:7:5tanṣurūyou help
47:7:6ₐllahᵃAllah,
47:7:7yanṣurkumHe will help you
47:7:8wayuθabbitand make firm
47:7:9ʾaqdāmakumyour feet.
۝٧
O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.
47:8:1waₐllaðīnᵃBut those who
47:8:2kafarūdisbelieve,
47:8:3fataʕsaⁿdestruction (is)
47:8:4llahumfor them,
47:8:5waʾaḍallᵃand He will cause to be lost
47:8:6ʾaʕmālahumtheir deeds.
۝٨
But those who disbelieve - for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds.
47:9:1ðālikᵃThat
47:9:2biʾannahum(is) because they
47:9:5ʾanzalᵃAllah has revealed,
47:9:7faʾaḥbaṭᵃso He has made worthless
47:9:8ʾaʕmālahumtheir deeds.
۝٩
That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds.
