Ha, Meem.
46:2:1tanzīlᵘ(The) revelation

۝٢
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
46:3:2ḫalaqnāWe created

46:3:13ʕammāfrom what
46:3:14ʾunðirūthey are warned,
46:3:15muʕriḍūnᵃ(are) turning away.
۝٣
We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away.
46:4:2ʾaraʾaytum"Do you see

۝٤
Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful."
46:5:1wamanAnd who
46:5:2ʾaḍallᵘ(is) more astray
46:5:3mimmanthan (he) who

۝٥
And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware.
46:6:1waʾiðāAnd when
46:6:2ḥuširᵃare gathered

46:6:9kāfirīnᵃdeniers.
۝٦
And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.
46:7:1waʾiðāAnd when

46:7:13siḥrᵘⁿ(is) a magic
46:7:14mmubīnᵘⁿclear."
۝٧
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is obvious magic."
46:8:2yaqūlūnᵃthey say,
46:8:3ᵢftarāhᵘ"He has invented it."
46:8:5ʾinⁱ"If
46:8:6ᵢftaraytuhuI have invented it

46:8:25ₐlrraḥīmᵘthe Most Merciful.
۝٨
Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful."
46:9:3kuntᵘI am

۝٩
Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."
46:10:2ʾaraʾaytum"Do you see
46:10:4kānᵃit is

46:10:19ʾinnᵃIndeed,
46:10:20ₐllahᵃAllah
46:10:21(does) not
46:10:23ₐlqawmᵃthe people
46:10:24ₐlẓẓālimīnᵃthe wrongdoers.
۝١٠
Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant...?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
46:11:1waqālᵃAnd say
46:11:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
46:11:3kafarūdisbelieve
46:11:4lillaðīnᵃof those who
46:11:7kānᵃit had been

46:11:12waʾiðAnd when
46:11:14yahtadūthey (are) guided
46:11:16fasayaqūlūnᵃthey say,
46:11:18ʾifkᵘⁿ(is) a lie
46:11:19qadīmᵘⁿancient."
۝١١
And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood."
46:12:1waminAnd before it
46:12:3kitābᵘ(was the) Scripture
46:12:5ʾimāmaⁿ(as) a guide
46:12:6waraḥmaẗᵃⁿand a mercy.
46:12:7wahāðāAnd this
46:12:8kitābᵘⁿ(is) a Book
46:12:9mmuṣaddiqᵘⁿconfirming,

46:12:13ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
46:12:15wabušrāand (as) glad tidings
46:12:16lilmuḥsinīnᵃfor the good-doers.
۝١٢
And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good.
46:13:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
46:13:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
46:13:4rabbunā"Our Lord
46:13:5ₐllahᵘ(is) Allah,"
46:13:6θummᵃthen
46:13:7ᵢstaqāmūremain firm,
46:13:8falāthen no
46:13:9ḫawfᵘⁿfear
46:13:11walāand not
46:13:13yaḥzanūnᵃwill grieve.
۝١٣
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah," and then remained on a right course - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
46:14:2ʾaṣḥābᵘ(are the) companions
46:14:3ₐljannaẗⁱ(of) Paradise

46:14:8kānūthey used to
۝١٤
Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do.
46:15:1wawaṣṣaynāAnd We have enjoined
46:15:2ₐlʾinsānᵃ(on) man
46:15:3biwālidayhⁱto his parents
46:15:4ʾiḥsānaⁿkindness.
46:15:5ḥamalathᵘCarried him

46:15:10waḥamluhuAnd (the) bearing of him
46:15:11wafiṣāluhuand (the) weaning of him
46:15:12θalāθūnᵃ(is) thirty

46:15:20sanaẗᵃⁿyear(s),
46:15:21qālᵃhe says,
46:15:22rabbⁱ"My Lord,
46:15:23ʾawziʕnīgrant me (the) power
46:15:25ʾaškurᵃI may be grateful
46:15:26niʕmatakᵃ(for) Your favor
46:15:28ʾanʕamtᵃYou have bestowed
46:15:29ʕalayyᵃupon me
46:15:30waʕalāand upon
46:15:31wālidayyᵃmy parents
46:15:32waʾanand that
46:15:34ṣāliḥaⁿrighteous (deeds)

46:15:36waʾaṣliḥand make righteous
46:15:39ðurriyyatīmy offspring,
46:15:40ʾinnīindeed,
46:15:42ʾilaykᵃto You
46:15:43waʾinnīand indeed, I am
46:15:45ₐlmuslimīnᵃthose who submit."
۝١٥
And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
46:16:2ₐllaðīnᵃ(are) the ones
46:16:3nataqabbalᵘWe will accept
46:16:4ʕanhumfrom them
46:16:5ʾaḥsanᵃ(the) best
46:16:6(of) what
46:16:8wanatajāwazᵘand We will overlook
46:16:9ʕan[from]
46:16:10sayyiʾātihimtheir evil deeds,
46:16:12ʾaṣḥābⁱ(the) companions
46:16:13ₐljannaẗⁱ(of) Paradise.
46:16:14waʕdᵃA promise
46:16:15ₐlṣṣidqⁱtrue
46:16:16ₐllaðīwhich
46:16:18yūʕadūnᵃpromised.
۝١٦
Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised.
46:17:1waₐllaðīBut the one who
46:17:3liwālidayhⁱto his parents,
46:17:4ʾuffⁱⁿ"Uff
46:17:5llakumāto both of you!
46:17:6ʾataʕidāninīDo you promise me
46:17:8ʾuḫrajᵃI will be brought forth,
46:17:9waqadand have already passed away
46:17:11ₐlqurūnᵘthe generations
46:17:12minbefore me?"
46:17:14wahumāAnd they both
46:17:15yastaġīθānⁱseek help
46:17:16ₐllahᵃ(of) Allah.
46:17:17waylakᵃ"Woe to you!
46:17:18ʾāminBelieve!
46:17:19ʾinnᵃIndeed,
46:17:20waʕdᵃ(the) Promise
46:17:21ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
46:17:22ḥaqqᵘⁿ(is) true."
46:17:23fayaqūlᵘBut he says,
46:17:25hāðā(is) this
46:17:27ʾasāṭīrᵘ(the) stories
46:17:28ₐlʾawwalīnᵃ(of) the former (people)."
۝١٧
But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" -
46:18:2ₐllaðīnᵃ(are) the ones
46:18:3ḥaqqᵃ(has) proved true
46:18:4ʕalayhimᵘagainst them
46:18:5ₐlqawlᵘthe word
46:18:7ʾumamⁱⁿnations
46:18:8qad(that) already passed away
46:18:10minbefore them
46:18:13ₐljinnⁱ(the) jinn
46:18:14waₐlʾinsⁱand the men.
46:18:15ʾinnahumIndeed, they
46:18:17ḫāsirīnᵃ(the) losers.
۝١٨
Those are the ones upon whom the word has come into effect, [who will be] among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers.
46:19:1walikullⁱⁿAnd for all
46:19:2darajātᵘⁿ(are) degrees
46:19:3mmimmāfor what
46:19:4ʕamilūthey did,
46:19:5waliyuwaffiyahumand that He may fully compensate them
46:19:6ʾaʕmālahum(for) their deeds,
46:19:7wahumand they
46:19:8will not be wronged.
۝١٩
And for all there are degrees [of reward and punishment] for what they have done, and [it is] so that He may fully compensate them for their deeds, and they will not be wronged.
46:20:1wayawmᵃAnd (the) Day
46:20:2yuʕraḍᵘwill be exposed
46:20:3ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
46:20:4kafarūdisbelieved
46:20:6ₐlnnārⁱthe Fire.
46:20:7ʾaðhabtum"You exhausted
46:20:8ṭayyibātikumyour good things

46:20:13bihātherein.
46:20:14faₐlyawmᵃSo today
46:20:15tujzawnᵃyou will be recompensed

۝٢٠
And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient."
