۞
38:52:1waʕindahumAnd with them
38:52:2qāṣirātᵘ(will be) companions of modest gaze
38:52:4ʾatrābᵘⁿwell-matched.
۝٥٢
And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age.
38:53:2(is) what
38:53:3tūʕadūnᵃyou are promised
38:53:4liyawmⁱfor (the) Day
38:53:5ₐlḥisābⁱ(of) Account.
۝٥٣
This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account.
38:54:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
38:54:3larizqunā(is) surely Our provision;
38:54:7nnafādⁱⁿdepletion.
۝٥٤
Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion.
38:55:1hāðāThis (is so)!
38:55:2waʾinnᵃAnd indeed,
38:55:3lilṭṭāġīnᵃfor the transgressors
38:55:4lašarrᵃsurely (is) an evil
38:55:5maʾābⁱⁿplace of return.
۝٥٥
This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return -
38:56:2yaṣlawnahāthey will burn therein
38:56:3fabiʾsᵃand wretched (is)
38:56:4ₐlmihādᵘthe resting place.
۝٥٦
Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place.
38:57:1hāðāThis (is so)!
38:57:2falyaðūqūhᵘThen let them taste it,
38:57:3ḥamīmᵘⁿboiling fluid
38:57:4waġassāqᵘⁿand purulence.
۝٥٧
This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence.
38:58:1waʾāḫarᵘAnd other
38:58:4ʾazwājᵘⁿ(of various) kinds.
۝٥٨
And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds.
38:59:2fawjᵘⁿ(is) a company
38:59:3mmuqtaḥimᵘⁿbursting
38:59:4mmaʕakum(in) with you.
38:59:6marḥabᵃⁿᵐāwelcome
38:59:7bihimfor them.
38:59:8ʾinnahumIndeed, they
38:59:9ṣālū(will) burn
38:59:10ₐlnnārⁱ(in) the Fire.
۝٥٩
[Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire."
38:60:5marḥabᵃⁿᵐāwelcome
38:60:6bikumfor you.
38:60:8qaddamtumūhᵘbrought this
38:60:9lanāupon us.
38:60:10fabiʾsᵃSo wretched (is)
38:60:11ₐlqarārᵘthe settlement."
۝٦٠
They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement."
38:61:1qālūThey will say,
38:61:2rabbanā"Our Lord,
38:61:3manwhoever
38:61:4qaddamᵃbrought
38:61:5lanāupon us
38:61:7fazidhᵘincrease for him
38:61:8ʕaðābaⁿa punishment
38:61:9ḍiʕfaⁿdouble
38:61:11ₐlnnārⁱthe Fire."
۝٦١
They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire."
38:62:1waqālūAnd they (will) say,
38:62:2"What (is)
38:62:7kunnāwe used to
38:62:8naʕudduhumcount them
38:62:9mminᵃamong
38:62:10ₐlʾašrārⁱthe bad ones?
۝٦٢
And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst?
38:63:1ʾattaḫaðnāhumDid we take them
38:63:2siḫriyyaⁿ(in) ridicule
38:63:4zāġathas turned away
38:63:5ʕanhumᵘfrom them
38:63:6ₐlʾabṣārᵘthe vision?"
۝٦٣
Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?"
38:64:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
38:64:2ðālikᵃthat
38:64:3laḥaqqᵘⁿ(is) surely (the) truth -
38:64:4taḫāṣumᵘ(the) quarreling
38:64:5ʾahlⁱ(of the) people
38:64:6ₐlnnārⁱ(of) the Fire.
۝٦٤
Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire.
38:65:4munðirᵘⁿa warner,
38:65:5wamāand not
38:65:6min(is there) any
38:65:7ʾilāhⁱⁿgod
38:65:8ʾillāexcept
38:65:9ₐllahᵘAllah,
38:65:10ₐlwāḥidᵘthe One
38:65:11ₐlqahhārᵘthe Irresistible,
۝٦٥
Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing.
38:66:2ₐlssamāwātⁱ(of) the heavens
38:66:3waₐlʾarḍⁱand the earth
38:66:4wamāand whatever
38:66:5baynahumā(is) between them,
38:66:6ₐlʕazīzᵘthe All-Mighty,
38:66:7ₐlġaffārᵘthe Oft-Forgiving."
۝٦٦
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver."
38:67:2huwᵃ"It (is)
38:67:3nabaʾᵘⁿa news
38:67:4ʕaẓīmᵘⁿgreat,
۝٦٧
Say, "It is great news
38:68:2ʕanhᵘfrom it
38:68:3muʕriḍūnᵃturn away
۝٦٨
From which you turn away.
38:69:3līᵃfor me
38:69:5ʕilmⁱⁿknowledge
38:69:6biₐlmalaʾⁱ(of) the chiefs,
38:69:7ₐlʾaʕlāthe exalted
38:69:9yaḫtaṣimūnᵃthey were disputing.
۝٦٩
I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam].
38:70:2yūḥāhas been revealed
38:70:3ʾilayyᵃto me
38:70:5ʾannamāthat only
38:70:7naðīrᵘⁿa warner
38:70:8mmubīnᵘⁿclear."
۝٧٠
It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner."
38:71:3rabbukᵃyour Lord
38:71:4lilmalāʾikaẗⁱto the Angels,
38:71:5ʾinnī"Indeed, I Am
38:71:6ḫāliqᵘⁿᵐgoing to create
38:71:7bašaraⁿa human being
38:71:9ṭīnⁱⁿclay.
۝٧١
[So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay.
38:72:1faʾiðāSo when
38:72:2sawwaytuhuI have proportioned him
38:72:3wanafaḫtᵘand breathed
38:72:4fīhⁱinto him
38:72:6rrūḥīMy spirit,
38:72:7faqaʕūthen fall down
38:72:9sājidīnᵃprostrating."
۝٧٢
So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
38:73:1fasajadᵃSo prostrated
38:73:2ₐlmalāʾikaẗᵘthe Angels
38:73:3kulluhumall of them
38:73:4ʾajmaʕūnᵃtogether.
۝٧٣
So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely.
38:74:2ʾiblīsᵃIblis;
38:74:3ᵢstakbarᵃhe was arrogant
38:74:4wakānᵃand became
38:74:6ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers.
۝٧٤
Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers.
38:75:1qālᵃHe said,
38:75:2yāʾiblīsᵘ"O Iblis!
38:75:4manaʕakᵃprevented you
38:75:6tasjudᵃyou (should) prostrate
38:75:7limāto (one) whom
38:75:8ḫalaqtᵘI created
38:75:9biyadayyᵃwith My Hands?
38:75:10ʾastakbartᵃAre you arrogant
38:75:12kuntᵃare you
38:75:14ₐlʕālīnᵃthe exalted ones."
۝٧٥
[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"
38:76:1qālᵃHe said,
38:76:3ḫayrᵘⁿbetter
38:76:4mminhᵘthan him.
38:76:5ḫalaqtanīYou created me
38:76:7nnārⁱⁿfire
38:76:8waḫalaqtahuand You created him
38:76:10ṭīnⁱⁿclay."
۝٧٦
He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."
38:77:1qālᵃHe said,
38:77:2faᵤḫruj"Then get out
38:77:4faʾinnakᵃfor indeed, you
38:77:5rajīmᵘⁿ(are) accursed.
۝٧٧
[Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled.
38:78:1waʾinnᵃAnd indeed,
38:78:2ʕalaykᵃupon you
38:78:3laʕnatī(is) My curse
38:78:5yawmⁱ(the) Day
38:78:6ₐlddīnⁱ(of) Judgment."
۝٧٨
And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense."
38:79:1qālᵃHe said,
38:79:2rabbⁱ"My Lord!
38:79:3faʾanẓirnīThen give me respite
38:79:5yawmⁱ(the) Day
38:79:6yubʕaθūnᵃthey are resurrected."
۝٧٩
He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."
38:80:1qālᵃHe said,
38:80:2faʾinnakᵃ"Then indeed, you
38:80:3minᵃ(are) of
38:80:4ₐlmunẓarīnᵃthose given respite,
۝٨٠
[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved
38:81:2yawmⁱ(the) Day
38:81:3ₐlwaqtⁱ(of) the time
38:81:4ₐlmaʕlūmⁱwell-known."
۝٨١
Until the Day of the time well-known."
38:82:1qālᵃHe said,
38:82:2fabiʕizzatikᵃ"Then by Your might
38:82:3laʾuġwiyannahumI will surely mislead them
۝٨٢
[Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all
38:83:1ʾillāExcept
38:83:2ʕibādakᵃYour slaves
38:83:3minhumᵘamong them
38:83:4ₐlmuḫlaṣīnᵃthe chosen ones."
۝٨٣
Except, among them, Your chosen servants."
38:84:1qālᵃHe said,
38:84:2faₐlḥaqqᵘ"Then (it is) the truth
38:84:3waₐlḥaqqᵃand the truth
38:84:4ʾaqūlᵘI say,
۝٨٤
[Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say -
38:85:1laʾamlaʾannᵃSurely I will fill
38:85:3minkᵃwith you
38:85:4wamimmanand those who
38:85:5tabiʕakᵃfollow you
38:85:6minhumamong them
۝٨٥
[That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together."
38:86:3ʾasʾalukumI ask of you
38:86:4ʕalayhⁱfor it
38:86:6ʾajrⁱⁿpayment,
38:86:10ₐlmutakallifīnᵃthe ones who pretend.
۝٨٦
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious
38:87:2huwᵃit (is)
38:87:3ʾillāexcept
38:87:4ðikrᵘⁿa Reminder
38:87:5llilʕālamīnᵃto the worlds.
۝٨٧
It is but a reminder to the worlds.
38:88:1walataʕlamunnᵃAnd surely you will know
38:88:2nabaʾahuits information
38:88:3baʕdᵃafter
38:88:4ḥīnⁱⁿa time."
۝٨٨
And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time."
39
الزمر
The Groups
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
39:1:1tanzīlᵘ(The) revelation
39:1:2ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book
39:1:3minᵃ(is) from
39:1:4ₐllahⁱAllah
39:1:5ₐlʕazīzⁱthe All-Mighty,
39:1:6ₐlḥakīmⁱthe All-Wise.
۝١
The revelation of the Qur'an is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
39:2:1ʾinnāIndeed, We
39:2:2ʾanzalnā[We] have revealed
39:2:3ʾilaykᵃto you
39:2:4ₐlkitābᵃthe Book
39:2:5biₐlḥaqqⁱin truth;
39:2:6faᵤʕbudⁱso worship
39:2:7ₐllahᵃAllah
39:2:8muḫliṣaⁿ(being) sincere
39:2:9llahᵘto Him
39:2:10ₐlddīnᵃ(in) the religion.
۝٢
Indeed, We have sent down to you the Book, [O Muhammad], in truth. So worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.
39:3:1ʾalāUnquestionably,
39:3:2lillahⁱfor Allah
39:3:3ₐlddīnᵘ(is) the religion
39:3:4ₐlḫāliṣᵘthe pure.
39:3:5waₐllaðīnᵃAnd those who
39:3:7minbesides Him
39:3:9ʾawliyāʾᵃprotectors,
39:3:11naʕbuduhumwe worship them
39:3:12ʾillāexcept
39:3:13liyuqarribūnāthat they may bring us near
39:3:15ₐllahⁱAllah
39:3:16zulfā(in) nearness."
39:3:17ʾinnᵃIndeed,
39:3:18ₐllahᵃAllah
39:3:19yaḥkumᵘwill judge
39:3:20baynahumbetween them
39:3:24fīhⁱ[in it]
39:3:25yaḫtalifūnᵃdiffer.
39:3:26ʾinnᵃIndeed,
39:3:27ₐllahᵃAllah
39:3:28(does) not
39:3:30man(one) who
39:3:31huwᵃ[he]
39:3:32kāðibᵘⁿ(is) a liar
39:3:33kaffārᵘⁿand a disbeliever.
۝٣
Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever.
39:4:2ʾarādᵃAllah (had) intended
39:4:5yattaḫiðᵃtake
39:4:6waladaⁿa son,
39:4:7llaᵢṣṭafāsurely, He (could) have chosen
39:4:8mimmāfrom what
39:4:9yaḫluqᵘHe creates
39:4:10whatever
39:4:11yašāʾᵘHe willed.
39:4:12subḥānahuGlory be to Him!
39:4:14ₐllahᵘ(is) Allah
39:4:15ₐlwāḥidᵘthe One,
39:4:16ₐlqahhārᵘthe Irresistible.
۝٤
If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah, the One, the Prevailing.
39:5:1ḫalaqᵃHe created
39:5:2ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
39:5:3waₐlʾarḍᵃand the earth
39:5:4biₐlḥaqqⁱin [the] truth.
39:5:5yukawwirᵘHe wraps
39:5:6ₐllaylᵃthe night
39:5:8ₐlnnahārⁱthe day
39:5:9wayukawwirᵘand wraps
39:5:10ₐlnnahārᵃthe day
39:5:12ₐllaylⁱthe night.
39:5:13wasaḫḫarᵃAnd He subjected
39:5:14ₐlššamsᵃthe sun
39:5:15waₐlqamarᵃand the moon,
39:5:16kullᵘⁿeach
39:5:18liʾajalⁱⁿfor a term
39:5:19mmusammaⁿspecified.
39:5:20ʾalāUnquestionably,
39:5:22ₐlʕazīzᵘ(is) the All-Mighty,
39:5:23ₐlġaffārᵘthe Oft-Forgiving.
۝٥
He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. Unquestionably, He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.
39:6:1ḫalaqakumHe created you
39:6:3nnafsⁱⁿa soul
39:6:4wāḥidaẗⁱⁿsingle.
39:6:5θummᵃThen
39:6:6jaʕalᵃHe made
39:6:8zawjahāits mate.
39:6:9waʾanzalᵃAnd He sent down
39:6:10lakumfor you
39:6:12ₐlʾanʕāmⁱthe cattle
39:6:13θamāniyaẗᵃeight
39:6:14ʾazwājⁱⁿkinds.
39:6:15yaḫluqukumHe creates you
39:6:17buṭūnⁱ(the) wombs
39:6:18ʾummahātikum(of) your mothers,
39:6:19ḫalqaⁿcreation
39:6:20mminᵐafter
39:6:22ḫalqⁱⁿcreation,
39:6:24ẓulumātⁱⁿdarkness[es]
39:6:25θalāθⁱⁿthree.
39:6:27ₐllahᵘ(is) Allah
39:6:28rabbukumyour Lord;
39:6:29lahᵘfor Him
39:6:30ₐlmulkᵘ(is) the dominion.
39:6:31(There is) no
39:6:33ʾillāexcept
39:6:35faʾannāThen how
39:6:36tuṣrafūnᵃare you turning away?
۝٦
He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?
39:7:2takfurūyou disbelieve
39:7:3faʾinnᵃthen indeed,
39:7:4ₐllahᵃAllah
39:7:5ġanīīᵘⁿ(is) free from need
39:7:6ʕankumof you.
39:7:7walāAnd not
39:7:8yarḍāHe likes
39:7:9liʕibādihⁱin His slaves
39:7:10ₐlkufrᵃungratefulness.
39:7:11waʾinAnd if
39:7:12taškurūyou are grateful
39:7:13yarḍahᵘHe likes it
39:7:15walāAnd not
39:7:16tazirᵘwill bear
39:7:17wāziraẗᵘⁿbearer of burdens
39:7:18wizrᵃ(the) burden
39:7:19ʾuḫrā(of) another.
39:7:20θummᵃThen
39:7:22rabbikumyour Lord
39:7:23mmarjiʕukum(is) your return,
39:7:24fayunabbiʾukumthen He will inform you
39:7:25bimāabout what
39:7:26kuntumyou used to
39:7:28ʾinnahuIndeed, He
39:7:29ʕalīmᵘⁿᵐ(is) the All-Knower
39:7:30biðātⁱof what (is) in the breasts.
39:7:31ₐlṣṣudūrⁱ
۝٧
If you disbelieve - indeed, Allah is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves it for you; and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
