۞
3:133:3maġfiraẗⁱⁿforgiveness
3:133:5rrabbikumyour Lord
3:133:6wajannaẗⁱⁿand a Garden -
3:133:7ʕarḍuhāits width
3:133:8ₐlssamāwātᵘ(is like that of) the heavens
3:133:9waₐlʾarḍᵘand the earth
3:133:10ʾuʕiddatprepared
3:133:11lilmuttaqīnᵃfor the pious.
۝١٣٣
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous
3:134:1ₐllaðīnᵃThose who
3:134:4ₐlssarrāʾⁱ[the] ease
3:134:5waₐlḍḍarrāʾⁱand (in) the hardship
3:134:6waₐlkāẓimīnᵃand those who restrain
3:134:7ₐlġayẓᵃthe anger
3:134:8waₐlʕāfīnᵃand those who pardon
3:134:9ʕanⁱ[from]
3:134:10ₐlnnāsⁱthe people -
3:134:11waₐllahᵘand Allah
3:134:12yuḥibbᵘloves
3:134:13ₐlmuḥsinīnᵃthe good-doers.
۝١٣٤
Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;
3:135:1waₐllaðīnᵃAnd those
3:135:4fāḥišaẗᵃⁿimmorality
3:135:7ʾanfusahumthemselves -
3:135:8ðakarūthey remember
3:135:9ₐllahᵃAllah
3:135:10faᵢstaġfarūthen ask forgiveness
3:135:11liðunūbihimfor their sins -
3:135:12wamanand who
3:135:13yaġfirᵘ(can) forgive
3:135:14ₐlððunūbᵃthe sins
3:135:16ₐllahᵘAllah?
3:135:18yuṣirrūthey persist
3:135:22wahumwhile they
۝١٣٥
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.
3:136:2jazāʾuhumtheir reward
3:136:3mmaġfiraẗᵘⁿ(is) forgiveness
3:136:5rrabbihimtheir Lord
3:136:6wajannātᵘⁿand Gardens
3:136:9taḥtihāunderneath it
3:136:10ₐlʾanhārᵘthe rivers,
3:136:11ḫālidīnᵃabiding forever
3:136:13waniʕmᵃAnd an excellent
3:136:14ʾajrᵘreward
3:136:15ₐlʕāmilīnᵃ(for) the (righteous) workers.
۝١٣٦
Those - their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers.
3:137:2ḫalatpassed
3:137:4qablikumbefore you
3:137:5sunanᵘⁿsituations,
3:137:6fasīrūthen travel
3:137:8ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
3:137:9faᵤnẓurūand see
3:137:12ʕāqibaẗᵘ(the) end
3:137:13ₐlmukaððibīnᵃ(of) the deniers.
۝١٣٧
Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied.
3:138:2bayānᵘⁿ(is) a declaration
3:138:3llilnnāsⁱfor the people
3:138:4wahudaⁿand guidance
3:138:5wamawʕiẓaẗᵘⁿand admonition
3:138:6llilmuttaqīnᵃfor the God-fearing.
۝١٣٨
This [Qur'an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah.
3:139:1walāAnd (do) not
3:139:3walāand (do) not
3:139:5waʾantumᵘand you (will be)
3:139:6ₐlʾaʕlawnᵃ[the] superior,
3:139:8kuntumyou are
3:139:9mmuʾminīnᵃbelievers.
۝١٣٩
So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.
3:140:3qarḥᵘⁿa wound,
3:140:4faqadso certainly
3:140:5massᵃ(has) touched
3:140:6ₐlqawmᵃthe people
3:140:7qarḥᵘⁿwound
3:140:9watilkᵃAnd this
3:140:10ₐlʾayyāmᵘ[the] days
3:140:11nudāwiluhāWe alternate them
3:140:13ₐlnnāsⁱthe people
3:140:14waliyaʕlamᵃ[and] so that makes evident
3:140:15ₐllahᵘAllah
3:140:16ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:140:17ʾāmanūbelieve[d]
3:140:18wayattaḫiðᵃand take
3:140:20šuhadāʾᵃmartyrs.
3:140:21waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:140:22(does) not
3:140:23yuḥibbᵘlove
3:140:24ₐlẓẓālimīnᵃthe wrongdoers.
۝١٤٠
If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers -
3:141:1waliyumaḥḥiṣᵃAnd so that may purify
3:141:2ₐllahᵘAllah
3:141:3ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:141:5wayamḥaqᵃand destroy
3:141:6ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers.
۝١٤١
And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers.
3:142:2ḥasibtumdo you think
3:142:4tadḫulūyou will enter
3:142:5ₐljannaẗᵃParadise
3:142:6walammāwhile has not yet
3:142:7yaʕlamⁱmade evident
3:142:8ₐllahᵘAllah
3:142:9ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:142:10jāhadūstrove hard
3:142:11minkumamong you
3:142:12wayaʕlamᵃand made evident
3:142:13ₐlṣṣābirīnᵃthe steadfast.
۝١٤٢
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?
3:143:1walaqadAnd certainly
3:143:2kuntumyou used to
3:143:4ₐlmawtᵃ(for) death
3:143:6qablⁱbefore
3:143:7ʾan[that]
3:143:8talqawhᵘyou met it,
3:143:9faqadthen indeed,
3:143:10raʾaytumūhᵘyou have seen it
3:143:11waʾantumwhile you (were)
3:143:12tanẓurūnᵃlooking on.
۝١٤٣
And you had certainly wished for martyrdom before you encountered it, and you have [now] seen it [before you] while you were looking on.
3:144:1wamāAnd not
3:144:2muḥammadᵘⁿ(is) Muhammad -
3:144:3ʾillāexcept
3:144:4rasūlᵘⁿa Messenger,
3:144:5qadcertainly
3:144:6ḫalatpassed away
3:144:8qablihⁱbefore him
3:144:9ₐlrrusulᵘ[the] (other) Messengers.
3:144:11mmātᵃhe died
3:144:13qutilᵃis slain
3:144:14ᵢnqalabtumwill you turn back
3:144:16ʾaʕqābikumyour heels?
3:144:17wamanAnd whoever
3:144:18yanqalibturns back
3:144:20ʕaqibayhⁱhis heels
3:144:21falanthen never
3:144:22yaḍurrᵃwill he harm
3:144:23ₐllahᵃAllah
3:144:24šayʾaⁿ(in) anything.
3:144:25wasayajzīAnd will reward
3:144:26ₐllahᵘAllah
3:144:27ₐlššākirīnᵃthe grateful ones.
۝١٤٤
Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful.
3:145:1wamāAnd not
3:145:3linafsⁱⁿfor a soul
3:145:5tamūtᵃhe dies
3:145:6ʾillāexcept
3:145:7biʾiðnⁱby (the) permission
3:145:8ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
3:145:9kitābaⁿ(at a) decree
3:145:10mmuʾajjalaⁿdetermined.
3:145:11wamanAnd whoever
3:145:13θawābᵃreward
3:145:14ₐlddunyā(of) the world -
3:145:15nuʾtihiWe will give him
3:145:17wamanand whoever
3:145:19θawābᵃreward
3:145:20ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱ(of) the Hereafter
3:145:21nuʾtihiWe will give him
3:145:23wasanajzīAnd We will reward
3:145:24ₐlššākirīnᵃthe grateful ones.
۝١٤٥
And it is not [possible] for one to die except by permission of Allah at a decree determined. And whoever desires the reward of this world - We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the Hereafter - We will give him thereof. And we will reward the grateful.
3:146:1wakaʾayyinAnd how many
3:146:3nnabīīⁱⁿa Prophet
3:146:4qātalᵃfought;
3:146:5maʕahuwith him
3:146:6ribbiyyūnᵃ(were) religious scholars
3:146:7kaθīrᵘⁿmany.
3:146:8famāBut not
3:146:9wahanūthey lost heart
3:146:11ʾaṣābahumbefell them
3:146:13sabīlⁱ(the) way
3:146:14ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:146:15wamāand not
3:146:16ḍaʕufūthey weakened
3:146:17wamāand not
3:146:18ᵢstakānūthey gave in.
3:146:19waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:146:20yuḥibbᵘloves
3:146:21ₐlṣṣābirīnᵃthe patient ones.
۝١٤٦
And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah, nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.
3:147:1wamāAnd not
3:147:3qawlahumtheir words
3:147:6qālūthey said,
3:147:7rabbanā"Our Lord
3:147:8ᵢġfirforgive
3:147:10ðunūbanāour sins
3:147:11waʾisrāfanāand our excesses
3:147:13ʾamrināour affairs
3:147:14waθabbitand make firm
3:147:16waᵤnṣurnāand give us victory
3:147:18ₐlqawmⁱ[the people]
3:147:19ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers."
۝١٤٧
And their words were not but that they said, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
3:148:1faʾātāhumᵘSo gave them
3:148:2ₐllahᵘAllah
3:148:3θawābᵃreward
3:148:4ₐlddunyā(in) the world
3:148:5waḥusnᵃand good
3:148:6θawābⁱreward
3:148:7ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱ(in) the Hereafter.
3:148:8waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:148:9yuḥibbᵘloves
3:148:10ₐlmuḥsinīnᵃthe good-doers.
۝١٤٨
So Allah gave them the reward of this world and the good reward of the Hereafter. And Allah loves the doers of good.
3:149:2ₐllaðīnᵃwho
3:149:5tuṭīʕūyou obey
3:149:6ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:149:7kafarūdisbelieve,
3:149:8yaruddūkumthey will turn you back
3:149:10ʾaʕqābikumyour heels,
3:149:11fatanqalibūthen you will turn back
3:149:12ḫāsirīnᵃ(as) losers.
۝١٤٩
O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will [then] become losers.
3:150:1balⁱNay,
3:150:2ₐllahᵘAllah
3:150:3mawlākum(is) your Protector
3:150:4wahuwᵃand He
3:150:5ḫayrᵘ(is the) best
3:150:6ₐlnnāṣirīnᵃ(of) the Helpers.
۝١٥٠
But Allah is your protector, and He is the best of helpers.
3:151:1sanulqīWe will cast
3:151:3qulūbⁱ(the) hearts
3:151:4ₐllaðīnᵃ(of) those who
3:151:5kafarūdisbelieve
3:151:6ₐlrruʕbᵃ[the] terror
3:151:8ʾašrakūthey associated partners
3:151:9biₐllahⁱwith Allah,
3:151:12yunazzilHe sent down
3:151:13bihiabout it
3:151:14sulṭānaⁿany authority,
3:151:15wamaʾwāhumᵘand their refuge
3:151:16ₐlnnārᵘ(will be) the Fire
3:151:17wabiʾsᵃand wretched
3:151:18maθwā(is the) abode
3:151:19ₐlẓẓālimīnᵃ[of] the wrongdoers.
۝١٥١
We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve for what they have associated with Allah of which He had not sent down [any] authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers.
3:152:1walaqadAnd certainly
3:152:2ṣadaqakumᵘfulfilled to you
3:152:3ₐllahᵘAllah
3:152:4waʕdahuHis promise,
3:152:6taḥussūnahumyou were killing them
3:152:7biʾiðnihiby His permission,
3:152:10fašiltumyou lost courage
3:152:11watanāzaʕtumand you fell into dispute
3:152:12concerning
3:152:13ₐlʾamrⁱthe order
3:152:14waʕaṣaytumand you disobeyed
3:152:18ʾarākumHe (had) shown you
3:152:20tuḥibbūnᵃyou love.
3:152:21minkumAmong you
3:152:22mman(are some) who
3:152:23yurīdᵘdesire
3:152:24ₐlddunyāthe world
3:152:25waminkumand among you
3:152:26mman(are some) who
3:152:27yurīdᵘdesire
3:152:28ₐlʾāḫiraẗᵃthe Hereafter.
3:152:29θummᵃThen
3:152:30ṣarafakumHe diverted you
3:152:31ʕanhumfrom them
3:152:32liyabtaliyakumso that He may test you.
3:152:33walaqadAnd surely
3:152:34ʕafāHe forgave
3:152:36waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:152:37ðū(is the) Possessor
3:152:38faḍlⁱⁿ(of) Bounty
3:152:40ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers.
۝١٥٢
And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers.
