2:283:1waʾinAnd if
2:283:4safarⁱⁿa journey
2:283:7kātibaⁿa scribe,
2:283:8farihānᵘⁿthen pledge
2:283:9mmaqbūḍaẗᵘⁿin hand.
2:283:11ʾaminᵃentrusts
2:283:12baʕḍukumone of you
2:283:13baʕḍaⁿ(to) another
2:283:14falyuʾaddⁱthen let discharge
2:283:15ₐllaðīthe one who
2:283:16ᵢʾtuminᵃis entrusted
2:283:17ʾamānatahuhis trust.
2:283:18walyattaqⁱAnd let him fear
2:283:19ₐllahᵃAllah,
2:283:20rabbahuhis Lord.
2:283:21walāAnd (do) not
2:283:23ₐlššahādaẗᵃthe evidence.
2:283:24wamanAnd whoever
2:283:25yaktumhāconceals it,
2:283:26faʾinnahuthen indeed he
2:283:27ʾāθimᵘⁿ(is) sinful -
2:283:29waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
2:283:30bimāof what
2:283:32ʕalīmᵘⁿ(is) All-Knower.
۝٢٨٣
And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit [should be] taken. And if one of you entrusts another, then let him who is entrusted discharge his trust [faithfully] and let him fear Allah, his Lord. And do not conceal testimony, for whoever conceals it - his heart is indeed sinful, and Allah is Knowing of what you do.
2:284:1llillahⁱTo Allah (belongs)

2:284:3(is) in
2:284:4ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
2:284:5wamāand whatever
2:284:6(is) in
2:284:7ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth.
2:284:8waʾinAnd if
2:284:9tubdūyou disclose
2:284:12ʾanfusikumyourselves
2:284:14tuḫfūhᵘyou conceal it,
2:284:15yuḥāsibkumwill call you to account
2:284:16bihⁱfor it
2:284:17ₐllahᵘAllah.
2:284:18fayaġfirᵘThen, He will forgive
2:284:19liman[to] whom
2:284:20yašāʾᵘHe wills,
2:284:21wayuʕaððibᵘand He will punish
2:284:23yašāʾᵘHe wills.
2:284:24waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
2:284:26kullⁱevery
2:284:27šayʾⁱⁿthing
2:284:28qadīrᵘⁿ(is) All-Powerful.
۝٢٨٤
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.

2:285:2ₐlrrasūlᵘthe Messenger
2:285:4ʾunzilᵃwas revealed
2:285:5ʾilayhⁱto him
2:285:8waₐlmuʾminūnᵃand the believers.
2:285:9kullᵘⁿAll
2:285:10ʾāmanᵃbelieved
2:285:11biₐllahⁱin Allah,
2:285:12wamalāʾikatihiand His Angels,
2:285:13wakutubihiand His Books,
2:285:14warusulihiand His Messengers.
2:285:16nufarriqᵘwe make distinction
2:285:17baynᵃbetween
2:285:18ʾaḥadⁱⁿany
2:285:20rrusulihiHis messengers."
2:285:21waqālūAnd they said,
2:285:22samiʕnā"We heard
2:285:23waʾaṭaʕnāand we obeyed.
2:285:24ġufrānakᵃ(Grant) us Your forgiveness
2:285:25rabbanāour Lord,
2:285:26waʾilaykᵃand to You
2:285:27ₐlmaṣīrᵘ(is) the return."
۝٢٨٥
The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination."

2:286:4nafsaⁿany soul
2:286:5ʾillāexcept
2:286:6wusʕahāits capacity,
2:286:9kasabatit earned,
2:286:10waʕalayhāand against it
2:286:12ᵢktasabatit earned.
2:286:13rabbanā"Our Lord!
2:286:14(Do) not
2:286:15tuʾāḫiðnātake us to task
2:286:19ʾaḫṭaʾnāwe err.
2:286:20rabbanāOur Lord!
2:286:21walāAnd (do) not
2:286:24ʾiṣraⁿa burden
2:286:25kamālike that
2:286:26ḥamaltahu(which) You laid [it]
2:286:28ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
2:286:29min(were) from
2:286:30qablinābefore us.
2:286:31rabbanāOur Lord!
2:286:32walā[And] (do) not
2:286:33tuḥammilnālay on us
2:286:36ṭāqaẗᵃ(the) strength
2:286:37lanāwe have
2:286:38bihi[of it] (to bear).
2:286:39waᵤʕfᵘAnd pardon
2:286:40ʕannā[from] us,
2:286:41waᵢġfirand forgive
2:286:42lanā[for] us
2:286:43waᵢrḥamnāand have mercy on us.
2:286:44ʾantᵃYou (are)
2:286:45mawlānāour Protector,
2:286:46faᵤnṣurnāso help us
2:286:47ʕalāagainst
2:286:48ₐlqawmⁱthe people -
2:286:49ₐlkāfirīnᵃ[the] disbelievers.
۝٢٨٦
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
3:1:1ʾalif lām mīmAlif Laam Meem
۝١
Alif, Lam, Meem.
3:2:1ₐllahᵘAllah -
3:2:2(there is) no
3:2:3ʾilāhᵃGod
3:2:4ʾillāexcept
3:2:5huwᵃHim,
3:2:6ₐlḥayyᵘthe Ever-Living
3:2:7ₐlqayyūmᵘthe Sustainer of all that exists.
۝٢
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence.
3:3:1nazzalᵃHe revealed
3:3:2ʕalaykᵃto you
3:3:3ₐlkitābᵃthe Book
3:3:4biₐlḥaqqⁱin [the] truth
3:3:5muṣaddiqaⁿconfirming
3:3:6llimāthat which
3:3:7baynᵃ(was)
3:3:8yadayhⁱbefore it,
3:3:9waʾanzalᵃand He revealed
3:3:10ₐlttawrāẗᵃthe Taurat
3:3:11waₐlʾinjīlᵃand the Injeel,
۝٣
He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.
3:4:2qablᵘbefore (this),
3:4:3hudaⁿ(as) guidance
3:4:4llilnnāsⁱfor the mankind.
3:4:5waʾanzalᵃAnd (He) revealed
3:4:6ₐlfurqānᵃthe Criterion.
3:4:7ʾinnᵃVerily,
3:4:8ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:4:9kafarūdisbelieve[d]
3:4:10biʾāyātⁱin (the) Verses
3:4:11ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
3:4:12lahumfor them
3:4:13ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
3:4:14šadīdᵘⁿsevere.
3:4:15waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:4:16ʕazīzᵘⁿ(is) All-Mighty,
3:4:17ðūAll-Able
3:4:18ᵢntiqāmⁱⁿ(of) retribution.
۝٤
Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Qur'an. Indeed, those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah will have a severe punishment, and Allah is exalted in Might, the Owner of Retribution.
3:5:1ʾinnᵃIndeed
3:5:2ₐllahᵃAllah -
3:5:4yaḫfāis hidden
3:5:5ʕalayhⁱfrom Him
3:5:6šayʾᵘⁿanything
3:5:8ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
3:5:9walāand not
3:5:11ₐlssamāʾⁱthe heaven.
۝٥
Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.
3:6:2ₐllaðī(is) the One Who
3:6:3yuṣawwirukumshapes you
3:6:5ₐlʾarḥāmⁱthe wombs
3:6:6kayfᵃhow(ever)
3:6:7yašāʾᵘHe wills.
3:6:8(There is) no
3:6:9ʾilāhᵃgod
3:6:10ʾillāexcept
3:6:11huwᵃHim,
3:6:12ₐlʕazīzᵘthe All-Mighty,
3:6:13ₐlḥakīmᵘthe All-Wise.
۝٦
It is He who forms you in the wombs however He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
3:7:2ₐllaðī(is) the One Who
3:7:3ʾanzalᵃrevealed
3:7:4ʕalaykᵃto you
3:7:5ₐlkitābᵃthe Book,
3:7:6minhᵘof it
3:7:7ʾāyātᵘⁿ(are) Verses
3:7:8mmuḥkamātᵘⁿabsolutely clear -
3:7:9hunnᵃthey (are)
3:7:10ʾummᵘthe foundation
3:7:11ₐlkitābⁱ(of) the Book,
3:7:12waʾuḫarᵘand others
3:7:13mutašābihātᵘⁿ(are) allegorical.
3:7:14faʾammāThen as for
3:7:15ₐllaðīnᵃthose
3:7:17qulūbihimtheir hearts
3:7:18zayġᵘⁿ(is) perversity -
3:7:19fayattabiʕūnᵃ[so] they follow
3:7:21tašābahᵃ(is) allegorical
3:7:22minhᵘof it,
3:7:23ᵢbtiġāʾᵃseeking
3:7:24ₐlfitnaẗⁱ[the] discord
3:7:25waᵢbtiġāʾᵃand seeking
3:7:26taʾwīlihiits interpretation.
3:7:27wamāAnd not
3:7:28yaʕlamᵘknows
3:7:29taʾwīlahuits interpretation
3:7:30ʾillāexcept
3:7:31ₐllahᵘAllah.
3:7:32waₐlrrāsiḫūnᵃAnd those firm
3:7:34ₐlʕilmⁱ[the] knowledge,
3:7:35yaqūlūnᵃthey say,
3:7:36ʾāmannā"We believe
3:7:38kullᵘⁿAll
3:7:40ʕindⁱfrom
3:7:41rabbināour Lord."
3:7:42wamāAnd not
3:7:43yaððakkarᵘwill take heed
3:7:46ₐlʾalbābⁱ(of) understanding.
۝٧
It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
3:8:1rabbanā"Our Lord!
3:8:2(Do) not
3:8:3tuziġdeviate
3:8:4qulūbanāour hearts
3:8:5baʕdᵃafter
3:8:6ʾið[when]
3:8:7hadaytanāYou (have) guided us,
3:8:8wahaband grant
3:8:9lanā(for) us
3:8:11lladunkᵃYourself
3:8:12raḥmaẗᵃⁿmercy.
3:8:13ʾinnakᵃIndeed You,
3:8:14ʾantᵃYou
3:8:15ₐlwahhābᵘ(are) the Bestower.
۝٨
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
3:9:1rabbanāOur Lord!
3:9:2ʾinnakᵃIndeed, You
3:9:3jāmiʕᵘwill gather
3:9:4ₐlnnāsⁱ[the] mankind
3:9:5liyawmⁱⁿon a Day,
3:9:6llā(there is) no
3:9:7raybᵃdoubt
3:9:8fīhⁱin it.
3:9:9ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:9:10ₐllahᵃAllah
3:9:11(does) not
3:9:12yuḫlifᵘbreak
3:9:13ₐlmīʕādᵃthe Promise."
۝٩
Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise."
3:10:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:10:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
3:10:3kafarūdisbelieve[d]
3:10:4lannever
3:10:5tuġnīᵃwill avail
3:10:6ʕanhum[for] them
3:10:7ʾamwāluhumtheir wealth
3:10:8walāand not
3:10:9ʾawlāduhumtheir children
3:10:10mminᵃagainst
3:10:11ₐllahⁱAllah
3:10:12šayʾaⁿanything,
3:10:13waʾulāʾikᵃand those -
3:10:14humthey (are)
3:10:15waqūdᵘ(the) fuel
3:10:16ₐlnnārⁱ(for) the Fire.
۝١٠
Indeed, those who disbelieve - never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. And it is they who are fuel for the Fire.
3:11:1kadaʾbⁱLike behavior
3:11:2ʾālⁱ(of the) people
3:11:3firʕawnᵃ(of) Firaun
3:11:4waₐllaðīnᵃand those who
3:11:5min(were) from
3:11:6qablihimbefore them.
3:11:7kaððabūThey denied
3:11:8biʾāyātināOur Signs,
3:11:9faʾaḫaðahumᵘso seized them
3:11:10ₐllahᵘAllah
3:11:11biðunūbihimfor their sins.
3:11:12waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:11:13šadīdᵘ(is) severe
3:11:14ₐlʕiqābⁱ(in) [the] punishment.
۝١١
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty.
3:12:2llillaðīnᵃto those who
3:12:3kafarūdisbelieve[d],
3:12:4satuġlabūnᵃ"You will be overcome
3:12:5watuḥšarūnᵃand you will be gathered
3:12:7jahannamᵃHell,
3:12:8wabiʾsᵃ[and] an evil
3:12:9ₐlmihādᵘ[the] resting place.
۝١٢
Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be overcome and gathered together to Hell, and wretched is the resting place."
3:13:2kānᵃit was
3:13:3lakumfor you
3:13:4ʾāyaẗᵘⁿa sign
3:13:6fiʾataynⁱ(the) two hosts
3:13:7ₐltaqatāwhich met -
3:13:8fiʾaẗᵘⁿone group
3:13:9tuqātilᵘfighting
3:13:11sabīlⁱ(the) way
3:13:12ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
3:13:13waʾuḫrāand another
3:13:14kāfiraẗᵘⁿdisbelievers.
3:13:15yarawnahumThey were seeing them
3:13:16mmiθlayhimtwice of them
3:13:17raʾāᵃwith the sight
3:13:18ₐlʕaynⁱ(of) their eyes.
3:13:19waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
3:13:20yuʾayyidᵘsupports
3:13:21binaṣrihiwith His help
3:13:23yašāʾᵘHe wills.
3:13:24ʾinnᵃIndeed,
3:13:26ðālikᵃthat
3:13:27laʕibraẗᵃⁿsurely (is) a lesson
3:13:28lliʾulīfor the owners
3:13:29ₐlʾabṣārⁱ(of) vision.
۝١٣
Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.
3:14:1zuyyinᵃBeautified
3:14:2lilnnāsⁱfor mankind
3:14:3ḥubbᵘ(is) love
3:14:4ₐlššahawātⁱ(of) the (things they) desire -
3:14:6ₐlnnisāʾⁱ[the] women
3:14:7waₐlbanīnᵃand [the] sons
3:14:8waₐlqanāṭīrⁱand [the] heaps
3:14:9ₐlmuqanṭaraẗⁱ[the] stored up
3:14:11ₐlððahabⁱ[the] gold
3:14:12waₐlfiḍḍaẗⁱand [the] silver,
3:14:13waₐlḫaylⁱand [the] horses
3:14:14ₐlmusawwamaẗⁱ[the] branded,
3:14:15waₐlʾanʕāmⁱand [the] cattle
3:14:16waₐlḥarθⁱand [the] tilled land.
3:14:17ðālikᵃThat
3:14:18matāʕᵘ(is) provision
3:14:19ₐlḥayawẗⁱ(of) life
3:14:20ₐlddunyā(of) the world
3:14:21waₐllahᵘbut Allah -
3:14:22ʕindahuwith Him
3:14:23ḥusnᵘ(is an) excellent
3:14:24ₐlmaʾābⁱ[the] abode to return.
۝١٤
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
