47:10:2yasīrūthey travel
47:10:4ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
47:10:8ʕāqibaẗᵘ(the) end
47:10:9ₐllaðīnᵃ(of) those
47:10:10minbefore them?
47:10:12dammarᵃAllah destroyed
47:10:14ʕalayhim[over] them,
47:10:15walilkāfirīnᵃand for the disbelievers
47:10:16ʾamθāluhāits likeness.
۝١٠
Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable.
47:11:1ðālikᵃThat
47:11:2biʾannᵃ(is) because
47:11:3ₐllahᵃAllah
47:11:4mawlā(is the) Protector
47:11:5ₐllaðīnᵃ(of) those who

47:11:8ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers -
47:11:9(there is) no
47:11:11lahumfor them.
۝١١
That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector.
47:12:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
47:12:2ₐllahᵃAllah
47:12:3yudḫilᵘwill admit
47:12:4ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:12:7ₐlṣṣāliḥātⁱrighteous deeds

۝١٢
Indeed, Allah will admit those who have believed and done righteous deeds to gardens beneath which rivers flow, but those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as grazing livestock eat, and the Fire will be a residence for them.
47:13:1wakaʾayyinAnd how many
47:13:3qaryaẗⁱⁿa town,
47:13:4hīᵃwhich

47:13:11ʾahlaknāhumWe destroyed them,

۝١٣
And how many a city was stronger than your city [Makkah] which drove you out? We destroyed them; and there was no helper for them.
47:14:1ʾafamanThen is (he) who

۝١٤
So is he who is on clear evidence from his Lord like him to whom the evil of his work has been made attractive and they follow their [own] desires?
47:15:1mmaθalᵘA parable
47:15:2ₐljannaẗⁱ(of) Paradise

47:15:42ḥamīmaⁿboiling
47:15:43faqaṭṭaʕᵃso it cuts into pieces

۝١٥
Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?
47:16:1waminhumAnd among them
47:16:2mman(are some) who
47:16:3yastamiʕᵘlisten
47:16:4ʾilaykᵃto you,
47:16:7ḫarajūthey depart

۝١٦
And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires.
47:17:1waₐllaðīnᵃAnd those who

۝١٧
And those who are guided - He increases them in guidance and gives them their righteousness.
47:18:2yanẓurūnᵃthey wait
47:18:4ₐlssāʕaẗᵃ(for) the Hour
47:18:6taʾtiyahumit should come to them
47:18:7baġtaẗᵃⁿsuddenly?
47:18:8faqadBut indeed,
47:18:9jāʾᵃhave come
47:18:10ʾašrāṭuhāits indications.
47:18:14jāʾathumhas come to them
47:18:15ðikrāhumtheir reminder.
۝١٨
Then do they await except that the Hour should come upon them unexpectedly? But already there have come [some of] its indications. Then what good to them, when it has come, will be their remembrance?
47:19:1faᵢʕlamSo know
47:19:2ʾannahuthat [He] -
47:19:3(there is) no
47:19:6ₐllahᵘAllah
47:19:7waᵢstaġfirand ask forgiveness

47:19:11waₐllahᵘAnd Allah

۝١٩
So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place.
47:20:1wayaqūlᵘAnd say
47:20:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:20:4lawlā"Why not
47:20:5nuzzilathas been revealed

47:20:7faʾiðāBut when
47:20:8ʾunzilatis revealed
47:20:9sūraẗᵘⁿa Surah
47:20:10mmuḥkamaẗᵘⁿprecise

47:20:13ₐlqitālᵘthe fighting,
47:20:14raʾaytᵃyou see

47:20:22ₐlmaġšīīⁱ(of) one fainting
47:20:25ₐlmawtⁱthe death.
47:20:26faʾawlāBut more appropriate
۝٢٠
Those who believe say, "Why has a surah not been sent down? But when a precise surah is revealed and fighting is mentioned therein, you see those in whose hearts is hypocrisy looking at you with a look of one overcome by death. And more appropriate for them [would have been]
47:21:1ṭāʕaẗᵘⁿ(Is) obedience
47:21:2waqawlᵘⁿand a word
47:21:3mmaʕrūfᵘⁿkind.
47:21:4faʾiðāAnd when
47:21:5ʕazamᵃ(is) determined
47:21:6ₐlʾamrᵘthe matter,
47:21:8ṣadaqūthey had been true
47:21:9ₐllahᵃ(to) Allah,
47:21:10lakānᵃsurely, it would have been
47:21:11ḫayraⁿbetter
47:21:12llahumfor them.
۝٢١
Obedience and good words. And when the matter [of fighting] was determined, if they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them.
47:22:1fahalThen would
47:22:2ʕasaytumyou perhaps,
47:22:4tawallaytumyou are given authority
47:22:6tufsidūyou cause corruption
47:22:8ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
47:22:9watuqaṭṭiʕūand cut off
47:22:10ʾarḥāmakumyour ties of kinship.
۝٢٢
So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your [ties of] relationship?
47:23:2ₐllaðīnᵃ(are) the ones
47:23:3laʕanahumᵘAllah has cursed them,
47:23:5faʾaṣammahumso He made them deaf
47:23:6waʾaʕmāand blinded
47:23:7ʾabṣārahumtheir vision.
۝٢٣
Those [who do so] are the ones that Allah has cursed, so He deafened them and blinded their vision.
47:24:1ʾafalāThen do not
47:24:2yatadabbarūnᵃthey ponder
47:24:3ₐlqurʾānᵃ(over) the Quran
47:24:6qulūbⁱⁿ(their) hearts
47:24:7ʾaqfāluhā(are) locks?
۝٢٤
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?
47:25:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
47:25:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:25:5ʾadbārihimtheir backs
47:25:6mminᵐafter
47:25:9tabayyanᵃ(has) become clear
47:25:10lahumᵘto them
47:25:11ₐlhudā(of) the guidance,
47:25:12ₐlššayṭānᵘShaitaan
47:25:13sawwalᵃenticed
47:25:14lahum[for] them
47:25:15waʾamlāand prolonged hope
47:25:16lahumfor them.
۝٢٥
Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.
47:26:1ðālikᵃThat
47:26:2biʾannahum(is) because they
47:26:3qālū[they] said
47:26:4lillaðīnᵃto those who
47:26:7nazzalᵃAllah has revealed,
47:26:9sanuṭīʕukum"We will obey you
47:26:11baʕḍⁱpart
47:26:12ₐlʾamrⁱ(of) the matter."
47:26:13waₐllahᵘBut Allah
47:26:15ʾisrārahumtheir secrets.
۝٢٦
That is because they said to those who disliked what Allah sent down, "We will obey you in part of the matter." And Allah knows what they conceal.
47:27:1fakayfᵃThen how,
47:27:3tawaffathumᵘtake them in death
47:27:4ₐlmalāʾikaẗᵘthe Angels,
47:27:5yaḍribūnᵃstriking
47:27:6wujūhahumtheir faces
47:27:7waʾadbārahumand their backs?
۝٢٧
Then how [will it be] when the angels take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?
47:28:1ðālikᵃThat
47:28:2biʾannahumᵘ(is) because they
47:28:3ᵢttabaʕūfollowed
47:28:5ʾasḫaṭᵃangered
47:28:6ₐllahᵃAllah
47:28:8riḍwānahuHis pleasure,
47:28:9faʾaḥbaṭᵃso He made worthless
47:28:10ʾaʕmālahumtheir deeds.
۝٢٨
That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds.
47:29:2ḥasibᵃthink
47:29:3ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
47:29:5qulūbihimtheir hearts
47:29:6mmaraḍᵘⁿ(is) a disease
47:29:9yuḫrijᵃwill Allah bring forth
47:29:11ʾaḍġānahumtheir hatred?
۝٢٩
Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred?
47:30:2našāʾᵘWe willed
47:30:3laʾaraynākahumsurely, We could show them to you
47:30:4falaʕaraftahumand you would know them

47:30:6walataʕrifannahumbut surely, you will know them
47:30:8laḥnⁱ(the) tone
47:30:9ₐlqawlⁱ(of their) speech.
47:30:10waₐllahᵘAnd Allah
47:30:12ʾaʕmālakumyour deeds.
۝٣٠
And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of [their] speech. And Allah knows your deeds.
47:31:1walanabluwannakumAnd surely We will test you
47:31:3naʕlamᵃWe make evident
47:31:4ₐlmujāhidīnᵃthose who strive
47:31:5minkumamong you
47:31:6waₐlṣṣābirīnᵃand the patient ones,
47:31:7wanabluwaand We will test
47:31:8ʾaḫbārakumyour affairs.
۝٣١
And We will surely test you until We make evident those who strive among you [for the cause of Allah] and the patient, and We will test your affairs.
47:32:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
47:32:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who

۝٣٢
Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.
