28:51:1walaqadAnd indeed,
28:51:2waṣṣalnāWe have conveyed
28:51:3lahumᵘto them
28:51:4ₐlqawlᵃthe Word
28:51:5laʕallahumso that they may
28:51:6yataðakkarūnᵃremember.
۝٥١
And We have [repeatedly] conveyed to them the Qur'an that they might be reminded.
28:52:1ₐllaðīnᵃThose who,
28:52:2ʾātaynāhumᵘWe gave them
28:52:3ₐlkitābᵃthe Scripture
28:52:4minbefore it,
28:52:8yuʾminūnᵃbelieve.
۝٥٢
Those to whom We gave the Scripture before it - they are believers in it.
28:53:1waʾiðāAnd when
28:53:2yutlāit is recited
28:53:5ʾāmannā"We believe

۝٥٣
And when it is recited to them, they say, "We have believed in it; indeed, it is the truth from our Lord. Indeed we were, [even] before it, Muslims [submitting to Allah]."
28:54:2yuʾtawnᵃwill be given
28:54:3ʾajrahumtheir reward
28:54:5bimābecause
28:54:6ṣabarūthey are patient

28:54:10wamimmāand from what
28:54:11razaqnāhumWe have provided them
28:54:12yunfiqūnᵃthey spend.
۝٥٤
Those will be given their reward twice for what they patiently endured and [because] they avert evil through good, and from what We have provided them they spend.
28:55:1waʾiðāAnd when
28:55:2samiʕūthey hear

۝٥٥
And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you; we seek not the ignorant."
28:56:1ʾinnakᵃIndeed, you
28:56:2(can) not
28:56:5ʾaḥbabtᵃyou love,
28:56:7ₐllahᵃAllah
28:56:10yašāʾᵘHe wills.
28:56:11wahuwᵃAnd He

28:56:13biₐlmuhtadīnᵃ(of) the guided ones.
۝٥٦
Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.
28:57:1waqālūAnd they say,
28:57:3nnattabiʕⁱwe follow
28:57:4ₐlhudāthe guidance
28:57:5maʕakᵃwith you,
28:57:6nutaḫaṭṭafwe would be swept

28:57:9ʾawalamHave not

۝٥٧
And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.
28:58:1wakamAnd how many
28:58:2ʾahlaknāWe have destroyed
28:58:4qaryaẗⁱⁿa town
28:58:5baṭiratwhich exulted,
28:58:6maʕīšatahā(in) its means of livelihood.
28:58:7fatilkᵃAnd these
28:58:8masākinuhum(are) their dwellings
28:58:10tuskanhave been inhabited
28:58:11mminᵐafter them
28:58:14qalīlaⁿa little.
28:58:15wakunnāAnd indeed, [We]
28:58:17ₐlwāriθīnᵃ(are) the inheritors.
۝٥٨
And how many a city have We destroyed that was insolent in its [way of] living, and those are their dwellings which have not been inhabited after them except briefly. And it is We who were the inheritors.
28:59:1wamāAnd not
28:59:3rabbukᵃyour Lord
28:59:4muhlikᵃ(the) one to destroy
28:59:5ₐlqurāthe towns
28:59:7yabʕaθᵃHe (had) sent

28:59:13ʾāyātināOur Verses.
28:59:14wamāAnd not
28:59:15kunnāWe would be
28:59:16muhlikī(the) one to destroy
28:59:19waʾahluhāwhile their people
28:59:20ẓālimūnᵃ(were) wrongdoers.
۝٥٩
And never would your Lord have destroyed the cities until He had sent to their mother a messenger reciting to them Our verses. And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers.
28:60:1wamāAnd whatever
28:60:2ʾūtītumyou have been given
28:60:4šayʾⁱⁿthings,
28:60:5famatāʕᵘ(is) an enjoyment
28:60:6ₐlḥayawẗⁱ(of the) life

28:60:14ʾafalāSo (will) not
28:60:15taʕqilūnᵃyou use intellect?
۝٦٠
And whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment. And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?
28:61:1ʾafamanThen is (he) whom
28:61:2waʕadnāhᵘWe have promised him
28:61:3waʕdaⁿa promise
28:61:4ḥasanaⁿgood,
28:61:5fahuwᵃand he
28:61:6lāqīhⁱ(will) meet it,
28:61:7kamanlike (the one) whom
28:61:8mmattaʕnāhᵘWe provided him
28:61:9matāʕᵃenjoyment
28:61:10ₐlḥayawẗⁱ(of the) life
28:61:11ₐlddunyā(of) the world
28:61:12θummᵃthen
28:61:14yawmᵃ(on the) Day
28:61:15ₐlqiyāmaẗⁱ(of) the Resurrection
28:61:16minᵃ(will be) among
28:61:17ₐlmuḥḍarīnᵃthose presented?
۝٦١
Then is he whom We have promised a good promise which he will obtain like he for whom We provided enjoyment of worldly life [but] then he is, on the Day of Resurrection, among those presented [for punishment in Hell]?
28:62:1wayawmᵃAnd (the) Day
28:62:2yunādīhimHe will call them
28:62:3fayaqūlᵘand say,
28:62:4ʾaynᵃ"Where,

۝٦٢
And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are My 'partners' which you used to claim?"
28:63:1qālᵃ(Will) say
28:63:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose -
28:63:3ḥaqqᵃ(has) come true
28:63:4ʕalayhimᵘagainst whom
28:63:5ₐlqawlᵘthe Word,
28:63:6rabbanā"Our Lord!
28:63:8ₐllaðīnᵃ(are) those whom

28:63:10ʾaġwaynāhumWe led them astray
28:63:12ġawaynāwe were astray.
28:63:13tabarraʾnāWe declare our innocence
28:63:14ʾilaykᵃbefore You.
28:63:16kānūthey used (to)
28:63:17ʾiyyānāworship us."
۝٦٣
Those upon whom the word will have come into effect will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we led to error. We led them to error just as we were in error. We declare our disassociation [from them] to You. They did not used to worship us."
28:64:1waqīlᵃAnd it will be said,
28:64:3šurakāʾakumyour partners."
28:64:4fadaʕawhumAnd they will call them,
28:64:6yastajībūthey will respond
28:64:8waraʾawuand they will see
28:64:9ₐlʕaðābᵃthe punishment.
28:64:11ʾannahum[that] they
۝٦٤
And it will be said, "Invoke your 'partners' " and they will invoke them; but they will not respond to them, and they will see the punishment. If only they had followed guidance!
28:65:1wayawmᵃAnd (the) Day
28:65:2yunādīhimHe will call them
28:65:3fayaqūlᵘand say,
28:65:5ʾajabtumᵘdid you answer
28:65:6ₐlmursalīnᵃthe Messengers?"
۝٦٥
And [mention] the Day He will call them and say, "What did you answer the messengers?"
28:66:1faʕamiyatBut (will) be obscure
28:66:2ʕalayhimᵘto them
28:66:3ₐlʾanᵐbāʾᵘthe information
28:66:4yawmaʾiðⁱⁿthat day,
28:66:6will not ask one another.
۝٦٦
But the information will be unapparent to them that Day, so they will not [be able to] ask one another.
28:67:1faʾammāBut as for
28:67:2man(him) who
28:67:3tābᵃrepented
28:67:4waʾāmanᵃand believed,
28:67:5waʕamilᵃand did
28:67:6ṣāliḥaⁿrighteousness,
28:67:7faʕasāthen perhaps
28:67:8ʾan[that]
28:67:9yakūnᵃhe will be
28:67:11ₐlmufliḥīnᵃthe successful ones.
۝٦٧
But as for one who had repented, believed, and done righteousness, it is promised by Allah that he will be among the successful.
28:68:1warabbukᵃAnd your Lord
28:68:2yaḫluqᵘcreates
28:68:4yašāʾᵘHe wills
28:68:5wayaḫtārᵘand chooses.
28:68:7kānᵃthey have
28:68:8lahumᵘfor them
28:68:9ₐlḫiyaraẗᵘthe choice.
28:68:10subḥānᵃGlory be
28:68:11ₐllahⁱ(to) Allah
28:68:12wataʕālāand High is He
28:68:13ʕammāabove what
28:68:14yušrikūnᵃthey associate (with Him).
۝٦٨
And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.
28:69:1warabbukᵃAnd your Lord
28:69:4tukinnᵘconceals
28:69:5ṣudūruhumtheir breasts
28:69:6wamāand what
28:69:7yuʕlinūnᵃthey declare.
۝٦٩
And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare.
28:70:1wahuwᵃAnd He
28:70:2ₐllahᵘ(is) Allah;
28:70:3(there is) no

۝٧٠
And He is Allah; there is no deity except Him. To Him is [due all] praise in the first [life] and the Hereafter. And His is the [final] decision, and to Him you will be returned.

۝٧٢
Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the day continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you a night in which you may rest? Then will you not see?"
28:73:1waminAnd from
28:73:2rraḥmatihiHis Mercy
