27:1:2tilkᵃThese
27:1:3ʾāyātᵘ(are the) Verses
27:1:4ₐlqurʾānⁱ(of) the Quran
27:1:5wakitābⁱⁿand a Book
27:1:6mmubīnⁱⁿclear
۝١
Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book
27:2:1hudaⁿA guidance
27:2:2wabušrāand glad tidings
27:2:3lilmuʾminīnᵃfor the believers,
۝٢
As guidance and good tidings for the believers
27:3:1ₐllaðīnᵃThose who
27:3:2yuqīmūnᵃestablish
27:3:3ₐlṣṣalawẗᵃthe prayer
27:3:4wayuʾtūnᵃand give
27:3:5ₐlzzakawẗᵃzakah
27:3:6wahumand they
27:3:7biₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱin the Hereafter
27:3:9yūqinūnᵃbelieve with certainty.
۝٣
Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].
27:4:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
27:4:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
27:4:3(do) not
27:4:4yuʾminūnᵃbelieve
27:4:5biₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱin the Hereafter,
27:4:6zayyannāWe have made fair-seeming
27:4:7lahumto them
27:4:8ʾaʕmālahumtheir deeds,
27:4:9fahumso they
27:4:10yaʕmahūnᵃwander blindly.
۝٤
Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly.
27:5:2ₐllaðīnᵃ(are) the ones,
27:5:3lahumfor them
27:5:4sūʾᵘ(is) an evil
27:5:5ₐlʕaðābⁱ[the] punishment
27:5:6wahumand they
27:5:8ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱthe Hereafter
27:5:9humᵘ[they]
27:5:10ₐlʾaḫsarūnᵃ(will be) the greatest losers.
۝٥
Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.
27:6:1waʾinnakᵃAnd indeed, you
27:6:2latulaqqāsurely, receive
27:6:3ₐlqurʾānᵃthe Quran
27:6:4minfrom [near]
27:6:6ḥakīmⁱⁿthe All-Wise,
27:6:7ʕalīmⁱⁿthe All-Knower.
۝٦
And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing.
27:7:2qālᵃsaid
27:7:4liʾahlihito his family,
27:7:5ʾinnī"Indeed, I
27:7:6ʾānastᵘperceive
27:7:7nāraⁿa fire.
27:7:8saʾātīkumI will bring you
27:7:10biḫabarⁱⁿsome information
27:7:12ʾātīkumI will bring you
27:7:13bišihābⁱⁿa torch
27:7:14qabasⁱⁿburning
27:7:15llaʕallakumso that you may
27:7:16taṣṭalūnᵃwarm yourselves."
۝٧
[Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."
27:8:1falammāBut when
27:8:2jāʾahāhe came to it,
27:8:3nūdīᵃhe was called
27:8:4ʾanᵐ[that]
27:8:5būrikᵃ"Blessed is
27:8:7(is) at
27:8:8ₐlnnārⁱthe fire
27:8:9wamanand whoever
27:8:10ḥawlahā(is) around it.
27:8:11wasubḥānᵃAnd glory be
27:8:12ₐllahⁱ(to) Allah
27:8:13rabbⁱ(the) Lord
27:8:14ₐlʕālamīnᵃ(of) the worlds.
۝٨
But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds.
27:9:4ₐllahᵘAllah,
27:9:5ₐlʕazīzᵘthe All-Mighty,
27:9:6ₐlḥakīmᵘthe All-Wise."
۝٩
O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
27:10:1waʾalqⁱAnd, "Throw
27:10:2ʕaṣākᵃyour staff."
27:10:3falammāBut when
27:10:4raʾāhāhe saw it
27:10:6kaʾannahāas if it
27:10:7jānnᵘⁿ(were) a snake
27:10:8wallāhe turned back
27:10:9mudbiraⁿ(in) flight
27:10:10walamand (did) not
27:10:11yuʕaqqiblook back.
27:10:13(Do) not
27:10:15ʾinnīIndeed, [I]
27:10:16(do) not
27:10:17yaḫāfᵘfear
27:10:18ladayyᵃ(in) My presence
27:10:19ₐlmursalūnᵃthe Messengers.
۝١٠
And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear.
27:11:1ʾillāExcept
27:11:3ẓalamᵃwrongs
27:11:4θummᵃthen
27:11:5baddalᵃsubstitutes
27:11:6ḥusnᵃⁿᵐāgood
27:11:7baʕdᵃafter
27:11:8sūʾⁱⁿevil,
27:11:9faʾinnīthen indeed, I Am
27:11:10ġafūrᵘⁿOft-Forgiving,
27:11:11rraḥīmᵘⁿMost Merciful.
۝١١
Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful.
27:12:1waʾadḫilAnd enter
27:12:2yadakᵃyour hand
27:12:4jaybikᵃyour bosom
27:12:5taḫrujit will come forth
27:12:6bayḍāʾᵃwhite
27:12:7minwithout
27:12:9sūʾⁱⁿharm.
27:12:10(These are) among
27:12:12ʾāyātⁱⁿsigns
27:12:15waqawmihiand his people.
27:12:16ʾinnahumIndeed, they
27:12:18qawmaⁿa people
27:12:19fāsiqīnᵃdefiantly disobedient."
۝١٢
And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."
27:13:1falammāBut when
27:13:2jāʾathumcame to them
27:13:3ʾāyātunāOur Signs
27:13:4mubṣiraẗᵃⁿvisible,
27:13:5qālūthey said,
27:13:7siḥrᵘⁿ(is) a magic
27:13:8mmubīnᵘⁿmanifest."
۝١٣
But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic."
27:14:1wajaḥadūAnd they rejected
27:14:3waᵢstayqanathāthough were convinced with them (signs)
27:14:4ʾanfusuhumthemselves,
27:14:5ẓulmaⁿ(out of) injustice
27:14:6waʕuluwwaⁿand haughtiness.
27:14:7faᵤnẓurSo see
27:14:10ʕāqibaẗᵘ(the) end
27:14:11ₐlmufsidīnᵃ(of) the corrupters.
۝١٤
And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters.
27:15:1walaqadAnd verily,
27:15:4wasulaymānᵃand Sulaiman
27:15:5ʕilmaⁿknowledge,
27:15:6waqālāand they said,
27:15:7ₐlḥamdᵘ"Praise be
27:15:8lillahⁱto Allah
27:15:9ₐllaðīthe One Who
27:15:10faḍḍalanāhas favored us
27:15:12kaθīrⁱⁿmany
27:15:14ʕibādihⁱHis servants
27:15:15ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers."
۝١٥
And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise [is due] to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants."
27:16:1wawariθᵃAnd inherited
27:16:2sulaymānᵘSulaiman
27:16:3dāwudᵃDawood.
27:16:4waqālᵃAnd he said,
27:16:6ₐlnnāsᵘpeople!
27:16:7ʕullimnāWe have been taught
27:16:8manṭiqᵃ(the) language
27:16:9ₐlṭṭayrⁱ(of) the birds,
27:16:10waʾūtīnāand we have been given
27:16:12kullⁱevery
27:16:13šayʾⁱⁿthing.
27:16:14ʾinnᵃIndeed,
27:16:16lahuwᵃsurely, it
27:16:17ₐlfaḍlᵘ(is) the favor
27:16:18ₐlmubīnᵘevident."
۝١٦
And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."
27:17:1waḥuširᵃAnd were gathered
27:17:2lisulaymānᵃfor Sulaiman
27:17:3junūduhuhis hosts
27:17:6waₐlʾinsⁱand the men
27:17:7waₐlṭṭayrⁱand the birds,
27:17:8fahumand they
27:17:9yūzaʕūnᵃ(were) set in rows.
۝١٧
And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.
27:18:5wādⁱ(the) valley
27:18:6ₐlnnamlⁱ(of) the ants,
27:18:8namlaẗᵘⁿan ant,
27:18:12masākinakumyour dwellings
27:18:13lest not crush you
27:18:15sulaymānᵘSulaiman
27:18:16wajunūduhuand his hosts
27:18:17wahumwhile they
27:18:18(do) not perceive."
۝١٨
Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."
27:19:1fatabassamᵃSo he smiled -
27:19:2ḍāḥikaⁿlaughing
27:19:4qawlihāher speech
27:19:5waqālᵃand said,
27:19:6rabbⁱ"My Lord!
27:19:7ʾawziʕnīGrant me (the) power
27:19:9ʾaškurᵃI may thank You
27:19:10niʕmatakᵃ(for) Your Favor
27:19:12ʾanʕamtᵃYou have bestowed
27:19:13ʕalayyᵃon me
27:19:15wālidayyᵃmy parents
27:19:16waʾanand that
27:19:17ʾaʕmalᵃI may do
27:19:18ṣāliḥaⁿrighteous (deeds),
27:19:19tarḍāhᵘthat will please You.
27:19:20waʾadḫilnīAnd admit me
27:19:21biraḥmatikᵃby Your Mercy
27:19:23ʕibādikᵃYour slaves
27:19:24ₐlṣṣāliḥīnᵃrighteous."
۝١٩
So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants."
27:20:1watafaqqadᵃAnd he inspected
27:20:2ₐlṭṭayrᵃthe birds
27:20:3faqālᵃand said,
27:20:8ₐlhudhudᵃthe hoopoe
27:20:10kānᵃis he
27:20:12ₐlġāʾibīnᵃthe absent?
۝٢٠
And he took attendance of the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe - or is he among the absent?
27:21:1laʾuʕaððibannahuI will surely punish him
27:21:2ʕaðābaⁿ(with) a punishment
27:21:3šadīdaⁿsevere
27:21:5laʾaðbaḥannahuI will surely slaughter him
27:21:6ʾawunless
27:21:7layaʾtiyannīhe brings me
27:21:8bisulṭānⁱⁿa reason
27:21:9mmubīnⁱⁿclear."
۝٢١
I will surely punish him with a severe punishment or slaughter him unless he brings me clear authorization."
27:22:1famakaθᵃSo he stayed
27:22:3baʕīdⁱⁿlong,
27:22:4faqālᵃand he said,
27:22:5ʾaḥaṭtᵘ"I have encompassed
27:22:6bimāthat which
27:22:8tuḥiṭyou have encompassed
27:22:10wajiʾtukᵃand I have come to you
27:22:12sabaʾⁱⁿSaba
27:22:13binabaʾⁱⁿwith news
27:22:14yaqīnⁱⁿcertain.
۝٢٢
But the hoopoe stayed not long and said, "I have encompassed [in knowledge] that which you have not encompassed, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news.
27:23:1ʾinnīIndeed, I
27:23:3ᵢmraʾaẗᵃⁿa woman
27:23:4tamlikuhumruling them
27:23:5waʾūtiyatand she has been given
27:23:7kullⁱevery
27:23:8šayʾⁱⁿthing
27:23:9walahāand for her
27:23:10ʕaršᵘⁿ(is) a throne
27:23:11ʕaẓīmᵘⁿgreat.
۝٢٣
Indeed, I found [there] a woman ruling them, and she has been given of all things, and she has a great throne.
27:24:1wajadttuhāAnd I found her
27:24:2waqawmahāand her people
27:24:3yasjudūnᵃprostrating
27:24:4lilššamsⁱto the sun
27:24:5mininstead of Allah,
27:24:8wazayyanᵃand has made fair-seeming
27:24:9lahumᵘto them
27:24:10ₐlššayṭānᵘthe Shaitaan
27:24:11ʾaʕmālahumtheir deeds,
27:24:12faṣaddahumand averted them
27:24:13ʕanⁱfrom
27:24:14ₐlssabīlⁱthe Way,
27:24:16(are) not
۝٢٤
I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided,
27:25:1ʾallāThat not
27:25:2yasjudūthey prostrate
27:25:3lillahⁱto Allah,
27:25:4ₐllaðīthe One Who
27:25:5yuḫrijᵘbrings forth
27:25:6ₐlḫabʾᵃthe hidden
27:25:8ₐlssamāwātⁱthe heavens
27:25:9waₐlʾarḍⁱand the earth
27:25:10wayaʕlamᵘand knows
27:25:12tuḫfūnᵃyou conceal
27:25:13wamāand what
27:25:14tuʕlinūnᵃyou declare,
۝٢٥
[And] so they do not prostrate to Allah, who brings forth what is hidden within the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare -
27:26:1ₐllahᵘAllah
27:26:2(there is) no
27:26:6rabbᵘ(the) Lord
27:26:7ₐlʕaršⁱ(of) the Throne
27:26:8ₐlʕaẓīmⁱthe Great."
۝٢٦
Allah - there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Great Throne."
