۞
16:90:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
16:90:2ₐllahᵃAllah
16:90:3yaʾmurᵘcommands
16:90:4biₐlʕadlⁱjustice
16:90:5waₐlʾiḥsānⁱand the good,
16:90:6waʾītāʾⁱand giving
16:90:7ðī(to) relatives,
16:90:9wayanhāand forbids
16:90:10ʕanⁱ[from]
16:90:11ₐlfaḥšāʾⁱthe immorality
16:90:12waₐlmunkarⁱand the bad
16:90:13waₐlbaġāⁱand the oppression.
16:90:14yaʕiẓukumHe admonishes you
16:90:15laʕallakumso that you may
16:90:16taðakkarūnᵃtake heed.
۝٩٠
Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.
16:91:2biʕahdⁱthe covenant
16:91:3ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
16:91:5ʕāhadttumyou have taken a covenant,
16:91:6walāand (do) not
16:91:9baʕdᵃafter
16:91:10tawkīdihātheir confirmation
16:91:11waqadwhile verily
16:91:12jaʕaltumᵘyou have made
16:91:13ₐllahᵃAllah
16:91:15kafīlaⁿa surety.
16:91:16ʾinnᵃIndeed,
16:91:17ₐllahᵃAllah
16:91:20tafʕalūnᵃyou do.
۝٩١
And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah, over you, a witness. Indeed, Allah knows what you do.
16:92:1walāAnd (do) not
16:92:3kaₐllatīlike her who
16:92:4naqaḍatuntwists
16:92:5ġazlahāher spun yarn
16:92:6minᵐafter
16:92:8quwwaẗⁱⁿstrength
16:92:9ʾankāθaⁿ(into) untwisted strands;
16:92:10tattaḫiðūnᵃyou take
16:92:12daḫalᵃⁿᵐā(as) a deception
16:92:13baynakumbetween you,
16:92:14ʾanbecause
16:92:16ʾummaẗᵘⁿa community
16:92:18ʾarbāmore numerous
16:92:20ʾummaẗⁱⁿ(another) community.
16:92:22yablūkumᵘAllah tests you
16:92:25walayubayyinannᵃAnd He will make clear
16:92:27yawmᵃ(on) the Day
16:92:28ₐlqiyāmaẗⁱ(of) the Resurrection,
16:92:30kuntumyou used (to)
16:92:31fīhⁱin it
16:92:32taḫtalifūnᵃdiffer.
۝٩٢
And do not be like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong [by] taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you because one community is more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another community. Allah only tries you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ.
16:93:2šāʾᵃAllah (had) willed
16:93:4lajaʕalakumsurely He (could) have made you
16:93:5ʾummaẗᵃⁿa nation
16:93:6wāḥidaẗᵃⁿone,
16:93:8yuḍillᵘHe lets go astray
16:93:10yašāʾᵘHe wills
16:93:11wayahdīand guides
16:93:13yašāʾᵘHe wills.
16:93:14walatusʾalunnᵃAnd surely you will be questioned
16:93:15ʕammāabout what
16:93:16kuntumyou used (to)
۝٩٣
And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.
16:94:1walāAnd (do) not
16:94:3ʾaymānakumyour oaths
16:94:4daḫalᵃⁿᵐā(as) a deception
16:94:5baynakumbetween you,
16:94:6fatazillᵃlest, should slip

16:94:8baʕdᵃafter
16:94:9θubūtihāit is firmly planted,
16:94:10wataðūqūand you would taste
16:94:11ₐlssūʾᵃthe evil
16:94:12bimāfor what
16:94:13ṣadadttumyou hindered
16:94:15sabīlⁱ(the) way
16:94:16ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
16:94:17walakumand for you
16:94:18ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
16:94:19ʕaẓīmᵘⁿgreat.
۝٩٤
And do not take your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, lest a foot slip after it was [once] firm, and you would taste evil [in this world] for what [people] you diverted from the way of Allah, and you would have [in the Hereafter] a great punishment.
16:95:1walāAnd (do) not
16:95:3biʕahdⁱthe covenant
16:95:4ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
16:95:5θamanaⁿ(for) a price
16:95:6qalīlaⁿlittle.
16:95:7ʾinnamāIndeed, what
16:95:8ʕindᵃ(is) with
16:95:9ₐllahⁱAllah,
16:95:11ḫayrᵘⁿ(is) better
16:95:14kuntumyou were (to)
۝٩٥
And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. Indeed, what is with Allah is best for you, if only you could know.
16:96:1Whatever
16:96:2ʕindakum(is) with you
16:96:3yanfadᵘwill be exhausted,
16:96:4wamāand whatever
16:96:5ʕindᵃ(is) with
16:96:6ₐllahⁱAllah
16:96:7bāqⁱⁿ(will) be remaining.
16:96:8walanajziyannᵃAnd surely We will pay
16:96:9ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
16:96:10ṣabarū(are) patient
16:96:11ʾajrahumtheir reward
16:96:12biʾaḥsanⁱto (the) best
16:96:13(of) what
16:96:14kānūthey used (to)
۝٩٦
Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting. And We will surely give those who were patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
16:97:1manWhoever
16:97:2ʕamilᵃdoes
16:97:3ṣāliḥaⁿrighteous deeds
16:97:4mminwhether
16:97:5ðakarⁱⁿmale
16:97:7ʾunθāfemale
16:97:8wahuwᵃwhile he
16:97:9muʾminᵘⁿ(is) a believer,
16:97:10falanuḥyiyannahuthen surely We will give him life,
16:97:11ḥayawẗᵃⁿa life
16:97:12ṭayyibaẗᵃⁿgood,
16:97:13walanajziyannahumand We will pay them
16:97:14ʾajrahumtheir reward
16:97:15biʾaḥsanⁱto (the) best
16:97:16of what
16:97:17kānūthey used (to)
۝٩٧
Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.
16:98:1faʾiðāSo when
16:98:2qaraʾtᵃyou recite
16:98:3ₐlqurʾānᵃthe Quran,
16:98:4faᵢstaʕiðseek refuge
16:98:5biₐllahⁱin Allah
16:98:6minᵃfrom
16:98:7ₐlššayṭānⁱthe Shaitaan,
16:98:8ₐlrrajīmⁱthe accursed.
۝٩٨
So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy].
16:99:1ʾinnahuIndeed he,
16:99:4sulṭānᵘⁿ(is) any authority
16:99:6ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
16:99:8waʕalāand upon
16:99:9rabbihimtheir Lord
16:99:10yatawakkalūnᵃthey put their trust.
۝٩٩
Indeed, there is for him no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord.
16:100:2sulṭānuhuhis authority
16:100:3ʕalā(is) over
16:100:4ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
16:100:5yatawallawnahutake him as an ally
16:100:6waₐllaðīnᵃand those who
16:100:8bihiwith Him
16:100:9mušrikūnᵃassociate partners.
۝١٠٠
His authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who through him associate others with Allah.
16:101:1waʾiðāAnd when
16:101:2baddalnāWe substitute
16:101:3ʾāyaẗᵃⁿa Verse
16:101:4mmakānᵃ(in) place
16:101:5ʾāyaẗⁱⁿ(of) a Verse,
16:101:6waₐllahᵘand Allah -
16:101:7ʾaʕlamᵘ(is) most knowing
16:101:8bimāof what
16:101:9yunazzilᵘHe sends down
16:101:13muftarⁱⁿ(are) an inventor."
16:101:15ʾakθaruhummost of them
16:101:16(do) not
۝١٠١
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.
16:102:2nazzalahu"Has brought it down
16:102:3rūḥᵘthe Holy Spirit
16:102:6rrabbikᵃyour Lord
16:102:7biₐlḥaqqⁱin truth,
16:102:8liyuθabbitᵃto make firm
16:102:9ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
16:102:11wahudaⁿand (as) a guidance
16:102:12wabušrāand glad tidings
16:102:13lilmuslimīnᵃto the Muslims."
۝١٠٢
Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims."
16:103:1walaqadAnd certainly
16:103:2naʕlamᵘWe know
16:103:3ʾannahumthat they
16:103:6yuʕallimuhuteaches him
16:103:7bašarᵘⁿa human being."
16:103:8llisānᵘ(The) tongue
16:103:9ₐllaðī(of) the one
16:103:10yulḥidūnᵃthey refer
16:103:12ʾaʕjamīīᵘⁿ(is) foreign
16:103:13wahāðāwhile this
16:103:14lisānᵘⁿ(is) a language
16:103:15ʕarabīīᵘⁿArabic
16:103:16mmubīnᵘⁿclear.
۝١٠٣
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches the Prophet." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, and this Qur'an is [in] a clear Arabic language.
16:104:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
16:104:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
16:104:3(do) not
16:104:4yuʾminūnᵃbelieve
16:104:5biʾāyātⁱin the Verses
16:104:6ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
16:104:8yahdīhimᵘAllah will guide them
16:104:10walahumand for them
16:104:11ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
16:104:12ʾalīmᵘⁿpainful.
۝١٠٤
Indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of Allah - Allah will not guide them, and for them is a painful punishment.
16:105:2yaftarīthey invent
16:105:3ₐlkaðibᵃthe falsehood
16:105:4ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
16:105:5(do) not
16:105:6yuʾminūnᵃbelieve
16:105:7biʾāyātⁱin the Verses
16:105:8ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
16:105:9waʾulāʾikᵃand those -
16:105:11ₐlkāðibūnᵃ(are) the liars.
۝١٠٥
They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verses of Allah, and it is those who are the liars.
16:106:1manWhoever
16:106:2kafarᵃdisbelieves
16:106:3biₐllahⁱin Allah
16:106:4minᵐafter
16:106:6ʾīmānihihis belief,
16:106:8man(one) who
16:106:9ʾukrihᵃis forced
16:106:10waqalbuhuwhile his heart
16:106:11muṭmaʾinnᵘⁿᵐ(is) content
16:106:12biₐlʾīmānⁱwith the faith.
16:106:14mman(one) who
16:106:15šaraḥᵃopens
16:106:16biₐlkufrⁱto disbelief
16:106:17ṣadraⁿ(his) breast,
16:106:18faʕalayhimthen upon them
16:106:19ġaḍabᵘⁿ(is) a wrath
16:106:22walahumand for them
16:106:23ʕaðābᵘⁿ(is) a punishment
16:106:24ʕaẓīmᵘⁿgreat.
۝١٠٦
Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief... except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment;
16:107:1ðālikᵃThat (is)
16:107:2biʾannahumᵘbecause
16:107:3ᵢstaḥabbūthey preferred
16:107:4ₐlḥayawẗᵃthe life
16:107:5ₐlddunyā(of) the world
16:107:7ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱthe Hereafter
16:107:8waʾannᵃand that
16:107:9ₐllahᵃAllah
16:107:10(does) not
16:107:12ₐlqawmᵃthe people
16:107:13ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers.
۝١٠٧
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
16:108:2ₐllaðīnᵃ(are) the ones -
16:108:3ṭabaʕᵃAllah has set a seal
16:108:6qulūbihimtheir hearts
16:108:7wasamʕihimand their hearing
16:108:8waʾabṣārihimand their sight.
16:108:9waʾulāʾikᵃAnd those -
16:108:10humᵘthey are
16:108:11ₐlġāfilūnᵃthe heedless.
۝١٠٨
Those are the ones over whose hearts and hearing and vision Allah has sealed, and it is those who are the heedless.
16:109:3ʾannahumthat they
16:109:5ₐlʾāḫiraẗⁱthe Hereafter
16:109:6humᵘ[they]
16:109:7ₐlḫāsirūnᵃ(are) the losers.
۝١٠٩
Assuredly, it is they, in the Hereafter, who will be the losers.
16:110:1θummᵃThen
16:110:2ʾinnᵃindeed,
16:110:3rabbakᵃyour Lord,
16:110:4lillaðīnᵃto those who
16:110:6minᵐafter
16:110:9futinūthey had been put to trials
16:110:12waṣabarūand were patient.
16:110:13ʾinnᵃIndeed,
16:110:14rabbakᵃyour Lord,
16:110:15minᵐafter it,
16:110:17laġafūrᵘⁿsurely is Oft-Forgiving,
16:110:18rraḥīmᵘⁿMost Merciful.
۝١١٠
Then, indeed your Lord, to those who emigrated after they had been compelled [to renounce their religion] and thereafter fought [for the cause of Allah] and were patient - indeed, your Lord, after that, is Forgiving and Merciful
