۝١٣٥
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

۝١٣٦
O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray.
4:137:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:137:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
4:137:3ʾāmanūbelieved,
4:137:4θummᵃthen
4:137:5kafarūdisbelieved,
4:137:6θummᵃthen
4:137:7ʾāmanū(again) believed,
4:137:8θummᵃthen

۝١٣٧
Indeed, those who have believed then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, and then increased in disbelief - never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a way.
4:138:1bašširⁱGive tidings

۝١٣٨
Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment -
4:139:1ₐllaðīnᵃThose who
4:139:2yattaḫiðūnᵃtake
4:139:3ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers
4:139:4ʾawliyāʾᵃ(as) allies
4:139:5min(from)
4:139:6dūnⁱinstead of
4:139:7ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers.
4:139:8ʾayabtaġūnᵃDo they seek
4:139:9ʕindahumᵘwith them
4:139:10ₐlʕizzaẗᵃthe honor?
4:139:11faʾinnᵃBut indeed,
4:139:12ₐlʕizzaẗᵃthe honor
4:139:13lillahⁱ(is) for Allah,
۝١٣٩
Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely.
4:140:1waqadAnd surely
4:140:2nazzalᵃHe has revealed
4:140:5ₐlkitābⁱthe Book
4:140:9ʾāyātⁱ(the) Verses

4:140:11yukfarᵘbeing rejected
4:140:13wayustahzaʾᵘand ridiculed
4:140:14bihāat [it],
4:140:15falāthen do not
4:140:17maʕahumwith them
4:140:19yaḫūḍūthey engage
4:140:21ḥadīθⁱⁿa conversation

4:140:23ʾinnakumIndeed, you

4:140:25mmiθluhum(would be) like them.
4:140:26ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:140:27ₐllahᵃAllah

۝١٤٠
And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together -
4:141:1ₐllaðīnᵃThose who
4:141:2yatarabbaṣūnᵃare waiting
4:141:3bikumfor you.
4:141:4faʾinThen if

4:141:11ʾalam"Were not
4:141:13mmaʕakumwith you?"
4:141:14waʾinBut if
4:141:15kānᵃ(there) was
4:141:16lilkāfirīnᵃfor the disbelievers
4:141:17naṣībᵘⁿa chance
4:141:19ʾalam"Did not
4:141:20nastaḥwiðwe have advantage
4:141:22wanamnaʕkumand we protected you
4:141:24ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers?"
4:141:25faₐllahᵘAnd Allah
4:141:26yaḥkumᵘwill judge
4:141:27baynakumbetween you
4:141:28yawmᵃ(on the) Day
4:141:29ₐlqiyāmaẗⁱ(of) the Resurrection,
4:141:30walanand never
4:141:31yajʕalᵃwill make
4:141:32ₐllahᵘAllah
4:141:33lilkāfirīnᵃfor the disbelievers
4:141:35ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers
4:141:36sabīlaⁿa way.
۝١٤١
Those who wait [and watch] you. Then if you gain a victory from Allah, they say, "Were we not with you?" But if the disbelievers have a success, they say [to them], "Did we not gain the advantage over you, but we protected you from the believers?" Allah will judge between [all of] you on the Day of Resurrection, and never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them].
4:142:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:142:2ₐlmunāfiqīnᵃthe hypocrites
4:142:3yuḫādiʕūnᵃ(seek to) deceive
4:142:4ₐllahᵃAllah
4:142:5wahuwᵃand (it is) He
4:142:6ḫādiʕuhumwho deceives them.
4:142:7waʾiðāAnd when
4:142:10ₐlṣṣalawẗⁱthe prayer,
4:142:11qāmūthey stand
4:142:13yurāʾūnᵃshowing off
4:142:14ₐlnnāsᵃ(to) the people
4:142:15walāand not
4:142:16yaðkurūnᵃthey remember
4:142:17ₐllahᵃAllah
4:142:19qalīlaⁿa little.
۝١٤٢
Indeed, the hypocrites [think to] deceive Allah, but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing [themselves to] the people and not remembering Allah except a little,
4:143:1mmuðabðabīnᵃWavering
4:143:2baynᵃbetween
4:143:3ðālikᵃthat,
4:143:10wamanAnd whoever
4:143:11yuḍlilⁱhas been lead astray
4:143:12ₐllahᵘ(by) Allah -
4:143:13falanthen never
4:143:14tajidᵃyou will find
4:143:16sabīlaⁿa way.
۝١٤٣
Wavering between them, [belonging] neither to the believers nor to the disbelievers. And whoever Allah leaves astray - never will you find for him a way.
4:144:2ₐllaðīnᵃwho
4:144:3ʾāmanūbelieve[d]!
4:144:4(Do) not
4:144:6ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers
4:144:7ʾawliyāʾᵃ(as) allies
4:144:9dūnⁱinstead of
4:144:10ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers.
4:144:11ʾaturīdūnᵃDo you wish
4:144:14lillahⁱfor Allah
4:144:15ʕalaykumagainst you
4:144:16sulṭānaⁿan evidence
۝١٤٤
O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case?
4:145:1ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:145:2ₐlmunāfiqīnᵃthe hypocrites
4:145:3(will be) in
4:145:4ₐlddarkⁱthe depths,
4:145:5ₐlʾasfalⁱthe lowest,
4:145:7ₐlnnārⁱthe Fire,
4:145:8walanand never
4:145:9tajidᵃyou will find
4:145:11naṣīraⁿany helper
۝١٤٥
Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire - and never will you find for them a helper -
4:146:1ʾillāExcept
4:146:2ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
4:146:4waʾaṣlaḥūand correct (themselves)
4:146:5waᵢʕtaṣamūand hold fast
4:146:6biₐllahⁱto Allah
4:146:7waʾaḫlaṣūand are sincere
4:146:8dīnahum(in) their religion
4:146:9lillahⁱfor Allah,
4:146:10faʾulāʾikᵃthen those (will be)
4:146:11maʕᵃwith
4:146:12ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers.
4:146:13wasawfᵃAnd soon
4:146:14yuʾtⁱwill be given
4:146:15ₐllahᵘ(by) Allah
4:146:16ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers
4:146:17ʾajraⁿa reward,
4:146:18ʕaẓīmaⁿgreat.
۝١٤٦
Except for those who repent, correct themselves, hold fast to Allah, and are sincere in their religion for Allah, for those will be with the believers. And Allah is going to give the believers a great reward.
4:147:2yafʕalᵘwould do
4:147:3ₐllahᵘAllah
4:147:4biʕaðābikumby punishing you
4:147:6šakartumyou are grateful
4:147:7waʾāmantumand you believe?
4:147:8wakānᵃAnd is
4:147:9ₐllahᵘAllah
4:147:10šākiraⁿAll-Appreciative,
4:147:11ʕalīmaⁿAll-Knowing.

What would Allah do with your punishment if you are grateful and believe? And ever is Allah Appreciative and Knowing.
