4:100:1wamanAnd whoever
4:100:2yuhājiremigrates
4:100:4sabīlⁱ(the) way
4:100:5ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah,
4:100:6yajidwill find
4:100:8ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
4:100:9murāġamaⁿplace(s) of refuge -
4:100:10kaθīraⁿmany,
4:100:11wasaʕaẗᵃⁿand abundance.
4:100:12wamanAnd whoever
4:100:16muhājiraⁿ(as) an emigrant
4:100:18ₐllahⁱAllah
4:100:19warasūlihiand His Messenger,
4:100:20θummᵃthen
4:100:21yudrikhᵘovertakes him
4:100:22ₐlmawtᵘ[the] death,
4:100:23faqadthen certainly
4:100:24waqaʕᵃ(became) incumbent
4:100:25ʾajruhuhis reward
4:100:27ₐllahⁱAllah.
4:100:28wakānᵃAnd is
4:100:29ₐllahᵘAllah
4:100:30ġafūraⁿOft-Forgiving,
4:100:31rraḥīmaⁿMost Merciful.
۝١٠٠
And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him - his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
4:101:1waʾiðāAnd when
4:101:2ḍarabtumyou travel
4:101:4ₐlʾarḍⁱthe earth
4:101:5falaysᵃthen not
4:101:7junāḥᵘⁿ(is) any blame
4:101:9taqṣurūyou shorten
4:101:11ₐlṣṣalawẗⁱthe prayer
4:101:13ḫiftumyou fear
4:101:15yaftinakumᵘ(may) harm you
4:101:16ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
4:101:17kafarūdisbelieved.
4:101:18ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:101:19ₐlkāfirīnᵃthe disbelievers
4:101:22ʕaduwwaⁿan enemy
۝١٠١
And when you travel throughout the land, there is no blame upon you for shortening the prayer, [especially] if you fear that those who disbelieve may disrupt [or attack] you. Indeed, the disbelievers are ever to you a clear enemy.
4:102:1waʾiðāAnd when
4:102:2kuntᵃyou are
4:102:3fīhimamong them
4:102:4faʾaqamtᵃand you lead
4:102:5lahumᵘfor them
4:102:6ₐlṣṣalawẗᵃthe prayer,
4:102:7faltaqumthen let stand
4:102:8ṭāʾifaẗᵘⁿa group
4:102:10mmaʕakᵃwith you
4:102:11walyaʾḫuðūand let them take
4:102:12ʾasliḥatahumtheir arms.
4:102:13faʾiðāThen when
4:102:14sajadūthey have prostrated,
4:102:15falyakūnūthen let them be
4:102:18waltaʾtⁱand let come (forward)
4:102:19ṭāʾifaẗᵘⁿa group -
4:102:21lam(which has) not
4:102:23falyuṣallūand let them pray
4:102:24maʕakᵃwith you
4:102:25walyaʾḫuðūand let them take
4:102:26ḥiðrahumtheir precautions
4:102:27waʾasliḥatahumand their arms.
4:102:28waddᵃWished
4:102:29ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
4:102:30kafarūdisbelieved
4:102:32taġfulūnᵃyou neglect
4:102:33ʕan[about]
4:102:34ʾasliḥatikumyour arms
4:102:35waʾamtiʕatikumand your baggage,
4:102:36fayamīlūnᵃso (that) they (can) assault
4:102:37ʕalaykum[upon] you
4:102:38mmaylaẗᵃⁿ(in) an attack,
4:102:39wāḥidaẗᵃⁿsingle.
4:102:40walāBut (there is) no
4:102:41junāḥᵃblame
4:102:46ʾaðaⁿany trouble
4:102:47mmin(because) of
4:102:48mmaṭarⁱⁿrain
4:102:53taḍaʕūyou lay down
4:102:54ʾasliḥatakumyour arms,
4:102:55waḫuðūbut take
4:102:56ḥiðrakumyour precautions.
4:102:57ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:102:58ₐllahᵃAllah
4:102:59ʾaʕaddᵃhas prepared
4:102:60lilkāfirīnᵃfor the disbelievers
4:102:61ʕaðābaⁿa punishment
4:102:62mmuhīnaⁿhumiliating.
۝١٠٢
And when you are among them and lead them in prayer, let a group of them stand [in prayer] with you and let them carry their arms. And when they have prostrated, let them be [in position] behind you and have the other group come forward which has not [yet] prayed and let them pray with you, taking precaution and carrying their arms. Those who disbelieve wish that you would neglect your weapons and your baggage so they could come down upon you in one [single] attack. But there is no blame upon you, if you are troubled by rain or are ill, for putting down your arms, but take precaution. Indeed, Allah has prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment.
4:103:1faʾiðāThen when
4:103:2qaḍaytumᵘyou (have) finished
4:103:3ₐlṣṣalawẗᵃthe prayer,
4:103:4faᵤðkurūthen remember
4:103:5ₐllahᵃAllah
4:103:6qiyāmaⁿstanding
4:103:7waquʕūdaⁿand sitting
4:103:8waʕalāand (lying) on
4:103:9junūbikumyour sides.
4:103:10faʾiðāBut when
4:103:11ᵢṭmaʾnantumyou are secure
4:103:12faʾaqīmūthen establish
4:103:13ₐlṣṣalawẗᵃthe (regular) prayer.
4:103:14ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:103:15ₐlṣṣalawẗᵃthe prayer
4:103:18ₐlmuʾminīnᵃthe believers
4:103:19kitābaⁿprescribed
4:103:20mmawqūtaⁿ(at) fixed times.
۝١٠٣
And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.
4:104:1walāAnd (do) not
4:104:4ᵢbtiġāʾⁱpursuit
4:104:5ₐlqawmⁱ(of) the people.
4:104:8taʾlamūnᵃsuffering,
4:104:9faʾinnahumthen indeed, they
4:104:10yaʾlamūnᵃare (also) suffering
4:104:11kamālike what
4:104:12taʾlamūnᵃyou are suffering,
4:104:13watarjūnᵃwhile you (have) hope
4:104:15ₐllahⁱAllah
4:104:18yarjūnᵃthey hope.
4:104:19wakānᵃAnd is
4:104:20ₐllahᵘAllah
4:104:21ʕalīmaⁿAll-Knowing,
4:104:22ḥakīmaⁿAll-Wise.
۝١٠٤
And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you should be suffering - so are they suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allah that which they expect not. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
4:105:1ʾinnāIndeed,
4:105:2ʾanzalnāWe (have) sent down
4:105:3ʾilaykᵃto you
4:105:4ₐlkitābᵃthe Book
4:105:5biₐlḥaqqⁱwith the truth
4:105:6litaḥkumᵃso that you may judge
4:105:7baynᵃbetween
4:105:8ₐlnnāsⁱthe people
4:105:9bimāwith what
4:105:10ʾarākᵃhas shown you
4:105:11ₐllahᵘAllah.
4:105:12walāAnd (do) not
4:105:14llilḫāʾinīnᵃfor the deceitful
4:105:15ḫaṣīmaⁿa pleader.
۝١٠٥
Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate.
4:106:1waᵢstaġfirⁱAnd seek forgiveness
4:106:2ₐllahᵃ(of) Allah.
4:106:3ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:106:4ₐllahᵃAllah
4:106:6ġafūraⁿOft-Forgiving,
4:106:7rraḥīmaⁿMost Merciful.
۝١٠٦
And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
4:107:1walāAnd (do) not
4:107:3ʕanⁱfor
4:107:4ₐllaðīnᵃthose who
4:107:5yaḫtānūnᵃdeceive
4:107:6ʾanfusahumthemselves.
4:107:7ʾinnᵃIndeed,
4:107:8ₐllahᵃAllah
4:107:9(does) not
4:107:10yuḥibbᵘlove
4:107:11man(the one) who
4:107:13ḫawwānaⁿtreacherous
4:107:14ʾaθīmaⁿ(and) sinful.
۝١٠٧
And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Indeed, Allah loves not one who is a habitually sinful deceiver.
4:108:1yastaḫfūnᵃThey seek to hide
4:108:2minᵃfrom
4:108:3ₐlnnāsⁱthe people
4:108:4walābut not
4:108:5yastaḫfūnᵃ(can) they hide
4:108:6minᵃfrom
4:108:7ₐllahⁱAllah
4:108:8wahuwᵃand He
4:108:9maʕahum(is) with them
4:108:11yubayyitūnᵃthey plot by night
4:108:14yarḍā(does) he approve
4:108:16ₐlqawlⁱthe word.
4:108:17wakānᵃAnd is
4:108:18ₐllahᵘAllah
4:108:19bimāof what
4:108:20yaʕmalūnᵃthey do -
4:108:21muḥīṭaⁿAll-Encompassing.
۝١٠٨
They conceal [their evil intentions and deeds] from the people, but they cannot conceal [them] from Allah, and He is with them [in His knowledge] when they spend the night in such as He does not accept of speech. And ever is Allah, of what they do, encompassing.
4:109:1hāʾantumHere you are -
4:109:2hāʾulāʾⁱthose who
4:109:3jādaltum[you] argue
4:109:6ₐlḥayawẗⁱthe life
4:109:7ₐlddunyā(of) the world,
4:109:8famanbut who
4:109:9yujādilᵘwill argue
4:109:10ₐllahᵃ(with) Allah
4:109:12yawmᵃ(on the) Day
4:109:13ₐlqiyāmaẗⁱ(of) [the] Resurrection
4:109:16yakūnᵘwill be
4:109:17ʕalayhim[over them]
4:109:18wakīlaⁿ(their) defender.
۝١٠٩
Here you are - those who argue on their behalf in [this] worldly life - but who will argue with Allah for them on the Day of Resurrection, or who will [then] be their representative?
4:110:1wamanAnd whoever
4:110:7θummᵃthen
4:110:8yastaġfirⁱseeks forgiveness
4:110:9ₐllahᵃ(of) Allah
4:110:10yajidⁱhe will find
4:110:11ₐllahᵃAllah
4:110:12ġafūraⁿOft-Forgiving,
4:110:13rraḥīmaⁿMost Merciful.
۝١١٠
And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
4:111:1wamanAnd whoever
4:111:3ʾiθmaⁿsin,
4:111:4faʾinnamāthen only
4:111:5yaksibuhuhe earns it
4:111:6ʕalāagainst
4:111:8wakānᵃAnd is
4:111:9ₐllahᵘAllah
4:111:10ʕalīmaⁿAll-Knowing,
4:111:11ḥakīmaⁿAll-Wise.
۝١١١
And whoever commits a sin only earns it against himself. And Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
4:112:1wamanAnd whoever
4:112:3ḫaṭīʾaẗᵃⁿa fault
4:112:5ʾiθmaⁿa sin
4:112:6θummᵃthen
4:112:7yarmⁱthrows
4:112:9barīʾaⁿ(on) an innocent,
4:112:10faqadⁱthen surely
4:112:11ᵢḥtamalᵃhe (has) burdened (himself)
4:112:12buhtānaⁿ(with) a slander
4:112:13waʾiθmaⁿand a sin
4:112:14mmubīnaⁿmanifest.
۝١١٢
But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin.
4:113:1walawlāAnd if not
4:113:2faḍlᵘ(for the) Grace
4:113:3ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
4:113:4ʕalaykᵃupon you
4:113:5waraḥmatuhuand His Mercy -
4:113:6lahammatsurely (had) resolved
4:113:7ṭṭāʾifaẗᵘⁿa group
4:113:10yuḍillūkᵃmislead you.
4:113:11wamāBut not
4:113:12yuḍillūnᵃthey mislead
4:113:14ʾanfusahumthemselves,
4:113:15wamāand not
4:113:16yaḍurrūnakᵃthey will harm you
4:113:18šayʾⁱⁿanything.
4:113:19waʾanzalᵃAnd has sent down
4:113:20ₐllahᵘAllah
4:113:21ʕalaykᵃto you
4:113:22ₐlkitābᵃthe Book
4:113:23waₐlḥikmaẗᵃand [the] Wisdom
4:113:24waʕallamakᵃand taught you
4:113:27takunyou did
4:113:29wakānᵃAnd is
4:113:30faḍlᵘ(the) Grace
4:113:31ₐllahⁱ(of) Allah
4:113:32ʕalaykᵃupon you
4:113:33ʕaẓīmaⁿgreat.
۝١١٣
And if it was not for the favor of Allah upon you, [O Muhammad], and His mercy, a group of them would have determined to mislead you. But they do not mislead except themselves, and they will not harm you at all. And Allah has revealed to you the Book and wisdom and has taught you that which you did not know. And ever has the favor of Allah upon you been great.
